Mini's would also look terrible in flat Haze Grey or brown.
And I do know DaCrema... And I like the car... Just not fond of the color. IMHO the worst color offered so far. And if not, what color do you think is the worst?

my favorite part- never having to lose that new car smell. (*sighs*)

Because a gal that has a MINI for every day of the week is going to have a clean MINI for every day!
well, that is not so bad then if a brand new MINI shows up every day. Of course, we'll probably have to get someone to drive them down straight from a dealer over 1200 miles away so we won't have to worry about the break in period!

I've seen the SG car a few times too, and I do think it looks really good in person, but the pictures aren't so flattering. The only color I have seen that I think looked terrible was gold, but as some might say, "degustibus non est disputandem"

my first mini was actually a sg/b cvt back in 03/03. loved it until i started driving up long mountainous highways, which revealed to me its power limitations. plus i started getting the mod itch. and the fuel economy wasn't all that great either. ended up selling it for ~$18.5k and got a brg/w mcs jcw in 10/03. no problems now with those mountain roads, even with a few people in the mini. and i'm still modding my mini to this day. and the gas mileage is about comparable to the cvt mc.
more than a few guys have stated that the sg mini was kinda feminine and that the brg/w i now have is much more sporty-looking. even a few girls have said that i better match the brg/w color combo.
and btw, i ended up selling my sg/b cvt to some lady who buys slightly used upscale cars for her brother-in -law who lives in thailand. he then drives it around for a bit and sells it for probably a fairly good profit. supposedly, by buying a used car vs. a new one, he somehow avoids some steep taxes for importation. and of course, since the upscale cars are in sparse supply there, he can easily sell them for a nice profit. and ontop of that, my old mini still had the "mini of hawaii" license holder, which must be worth a few extra bucks.

Good that you are happier with your new car, but sad to let the SG go.... I guess I won't be getting my hands on that one since it left the country. Another thread has inspired me to scheme for a custom painted MINI.......
the title of this thread def got my attention- although I have 5-speed and not a CVT.

Her name is Stella, and she's been around awhile. Built in June of '02, and now has 61K miles on her. I keep thinking of getting a new MCSc, but just can't give her up. I find that with creative shifting, I am able to keep up with the MCS most of time in the mountains, and all the time at the autox.

*silk green with envy*
you live in Atlanta? Maybe some day I can meet Stella. I could introduce her to PPE. Where do you get your stripes, etc......?

Thanks for the invite! I am plotting changes for my MINI someday, but I just got her so I am not ready... I have ideas swirling in my head, though......Does MileMarker have a website? I will google for it....

I see several Silk Greens around- there's one in Midtown that looks almost just like Stella when I picked her up. I make lots of little (and big) changes that makes it seem like a different car all the time. The graphics were done by Eric of MileMarker Graphics. If you want his info, PM me and I'll get it to you. He does awesome work, and he's a great guy. his wife has a MINI that he is constantly changing the graphics on. Right now it a Thunderbird look-a-like which he has dubbed the "Bandit Edition" and it totally rocks.
