Need feed back,tried everything.Will i need a new key from dealer?

 

need a bit more detail for anyone to chime in. what in particular is broken? everything? one button? best bet is to just take it to the dealer as the keys can be a bit testy a times. good luck.

 

I got two remote keys with my 2005 and was told to switch them out every 6 months. So far both have worked okay. Did you only get one key. If so, ask for another one. ski

It is possible that it simply wasn't programmed to your car. Not likely, but possible. Stuff happens. Take it in for the Service Dept. to check it out. It will be covered under warranty anyhow.

 

FWIW, our 05 MSCa keys open the driver door easily on the first click, but often have a little trouble on the second click for the pass & boot.

 

maybe the battery is dead in it. can you put it in the on position and just leave it there for a half hour or so? that may charge it back up to the point that you can use it.

One of my two 05' remote keys worked for about 3 months - then it died completely. We went to the dealer twice. Tried reprogramming - that didn't work. Tried using both keys in the ignition at various times as the dealer instructed. That didn't work either. Final result - one new key.
