How long do you plan on keeping your MINI??????

Do You Plan to keep your MINI till the wheels fall off??????

Just curious. I bought my MINI in Jan of 2003 and I plan to drive it forever. I may get another MINI after this one is paid off, but I would NEVER sell or trade it. Even though my daughter eyes it lovingly, I wouldn't even give it to her in the future.

This car is a keeper and I plan on driving it as long as it's drivable.

I have visions of 2033 my MINI being considered vintage and people begging me to part with it. But no, not me. This is the first car I ever purchased new and I'm keeping it.

Anyone else feel this way?

I leased my 2005 MCS just to keep payments to a minimum.
But I think this may be a keeper.

I used to say we'd keep our Cooper until the doors fell off... Then the car held it's resale value incredibly well... All of a sudden it wasn't unreasonable to move to a comparably equiped MCS...

Now, I won't make any such grand statements anymore...

Forever, unless it gets destroyed. I still have three other vehicles that I have owned for 15 years or longer.

I intend to have my Star Wars themed '05 MC a long time (deco to be applied 10/15/05 by Aesthetic Creations). This is the car I have wanted since I sold my Honda CRX in the late eighties. Until the MINI came to American shores no other car has grabbed me in the same way that CRX did. This car will be driven until she can't be driven no more.

Till the wheels come off and they pry the steering wheel from my cold dead fingers. Yup, I love it that much.

I do look forward to having the cash to up the power a wee bit, and dress up the roof. There are so many Mini ways to keep the experiece fresh.

I planned on keeping my MC till it exploded. It is a 2002 Candian launch edition #345, meaning that it was the 345th MINI in Canada. For some reason that made it extra special to me, that it was one of the first. But I just bought a MCS and I am very sadly going to have to sell the MC. Hopefully I will keep this one til it explodes.

I would prefer to keep it forever but when the wife wants something new, nothing is sacred.

I currently have my 01 Tacoma for sale so she can get the MCS

Once it's paid off, I may get a weekend only car. But I plan to drive my 2003 Cooper until it won't go anymore.

Honestly, I'd planned on keeping it a few years til I'd paid it down enough to where I could sell 'im off and get a faster car again, but the more money I put into mods(I passed the $2k mark not long ago), the more I've decided to keep the car on a somewhat permanent basis.

I'll keep mine til I can afford a 5-series BMW. Just move up the food chain. Hopefully by the time I can afford one, they'll look a little better

Im keeping mine for at least a couple more years. Mine's paid off, actually...sent the payoff last week.

I might still get a 2nd MINI... it would be CVT if I do decide to get it.

I was planning to buy a 2006 for the wife but we ended up with a
different car for different reasons...so, it's my turn next and might
consider getting one as my commuter or might just move onto a sedan.
not sure yet, but regardless, my IB/B will be with me for a while  .

Bought mine in August 03 ( a little over 2 years old) ... most likely will trade it in next summer for an 07 MCS or a BMW 3 Series

My wife might sell it after I croak. Then again, it'll make a nice lawn decoration.

Well since i obsessed over this car since 02, and couldn't even buy one til this year... i'd hope i will keep it for a long, long time.

If anything, because it's MY SIZE! And if for some reason i sold it, it would be for an S. Either EB like i've been obsessing over, or black to paint pink but i'd buy used... obvious reasons on the EB.

I've already got 30k miles on my 04... and they're adding up faster and faster i can't just let it sit there!

My Cooper exploded twice and i still drove it until I handed it down to my brother. Now I drive my Vader, and will do so to all extremes.. Nothing will stop me from motoring in her!

I am leasing my 05 MCS, and here is my reasoning:

- I get a new car
- Drive it like I stole it for 36 months, not caring if it's going to be broken in 3 years
- give it back or or buy back and sell it

so, I get a new nice car, beat the ^%# out of it and give it back. All of this under warrenty.

I like it!

I love mine and plan on keeping it forever, or till my wife allows me to get something else. Part of my bargining to get the Mini was an agreement to keep it a long time. I am sure someday another car will capture my attention, but I doubt there will ever be a car to capture my heart like my Mini. Others have even commented that I finally have a car that is a perfect match to my personality.

So perfect wife and perfect car, my only complaint is not everybody uses their blinker grrrrr.

I am leasing '05 MCSa. Will keep it for a year or more until '07 comes out, then I am going to buy '07 MCS JCW (if I like the new model) or '06 MCS JCW (in case I don't like '07).

Love my MCc. Love it so much that the Wife and I just ordered an '06 MCS JCW. The plan is to keep both cars for a very long time. The next car will be a Z06 in a few years, but these two will always be there. At this point in my life I buy cars that I like and plan to keep.
