New Mini Has Arrived.

I want to thank everyone at NAM for all the great info and support. My new Astro Black 06 MCS was delivered to the dealer today and I went down for a look. Let me tell you that the astro black in person is really sweet. Anybody on the fence about this color should really consider it. I really wanted a jet black 05 but needed more time to save for a down payment. The car is off for aero bumper and trim to be painted the body color. JCW suspension is also going on. Factory options added are as follows: Limited slip dif, xenons, multifunction steering wheel, anthracite headliner, harmon kardon stereo, rear fog light and chrome line interior. The chrome line interior really accents the darker anthracite. I also have a BBK from Todd at TCE front and back going on after I decide on which 17" wheels I want. Debi my motoring advisor at Mini North Scottsdale has been very helpfull and patient. This is my very first new car and I'am glad I can be part of what seems like to be a great motoring experience. Thanks again, Robert from Phoenix AZ.

Congrats!

The Astro Black is absolutely stunning. When my husband and I went to the dealer to test drive, they had one on the lot and both of us fell in love with the color on the spot. We didn't order it because we live in an area where we drive on gravel roads fairly often and learned with our last dark car that it was going to be alot of work to keep it looking stunning all the time. Guess we'll have to be happy drooling over pics of yours.
Great choice on the interior, too, that will look sharp.
Can't wait to see the pics!
Annette

I will say I've yet to meet a MINI...any MINI, any color...that wasn't a stunner in person. Pictures just don't capture the nuances of form and finish on these cars (although pics do capture lots of other MINI dynamics quite nicely!). The overall impression is breathtaking. I admit, I've yet to see AB in person but I've always been a big, big fan.

Congrats on your new baby....your MINI adventure is about to turn a page, my friend. You think you love it now...just wait 'til you start motoring. It is a true testament to the greatness of the MINI that this little car has the power to reduce otherwise sane and rational adults into wild-eyed, perma-grinning, obsessed, goofy MINIacs!! I hope your neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends are prepared for this.

Thanks for the feedback. Not only am I looking forward to motoring , my dogs are also. The dark interior and paint will be alot of work, but I have a nissan sentra for my comute to work with 250,000 miles and still going strong. I've only owned 5 cars including my mini, so I plan on keeping this car a long time. Pics will be on the way after some road trips are under my belt. I'am looking forward to motoring with some of you in the land of the miniacs.

Congrats Robert...

from one AB MCS to another. I picked up mine yesterday. What a thrill. Enjoy. This is my second MINI and I don't get tired seeing them on the road or owning one.

WELCOME!!!

Congrats!! Enjoy and I hope you have a lot of time to use keeping it clean. I have a Black SVT and it stays dirty....2 hours out and it's filthy...sigh

I forgot to mention that one of the cars I owned was a 68 RS Camaro. Black with blue pearl. Centerline wheels, lowered and about a 400 to 450 horse powered small block. I sold it to help pay for my first house. So here's the irony; I now have the mini that with out a doubt is going to be a blast and the paint is similar but with blue metal flake instead of pearl. I still have a picture of that car and will try to post the picture sometime. I don't want to get in trouble but I could tell quite a few good stories about my adventures in the Camaro and two lane black top.
