R50/53 No Wimpy Gauges

The funny thing is, if you really think about it, they could actually be (sort of) useful in a car:
The altimeter could help on serious elevation-changing drives, as you could accurately determine when your fuel-map starts to become useless due to thin air.
Everybody needs a compass.
Knowing the yaw of the car might help you decide to take that curve a little slower, especially if it's off camber.
