Dark Silver with white top, premium and sports packages, would have gotten winter package if I had known we would be moving to Denver in September. Rally lights and white bonnet stripes. Black and blue leather interior. Would have gotten the auto window wipers and mirror and Harmon Karmon stereo but I did not want to wait for them to be available.

Bought the car originally for my wife, 35, she might get it in a few years but I wouldn't hold me breath.
She believes I am insane about this car. :lol

It seems as though a large number of new Mini owners have an artistic bent.(I never said they were bent)
It would be interesting to me to know what that percentage is. Also what percentage is left handed. It's not a joke!
7 percent of the population is left handed, while 20 percent of artists are left handed.

Sirron, sorry, not artistic and not left-handed, (although strangely enough I'm the only RIGHT-handed person in my immediate family of four...)

Sirron....I noticed the same thing....I myself am a designer and I would be interested to know who else out in Mini-land is involved in an artistic field!

41/M - Business Op's Manager - Los Angeles. Proud Father of Red/White S w/ Brit Flag on roof.

Can't think of a more practical, useful, unique, satisfying, and FUN car to own and drive.

I am praying BMW doesn't do to the Mini what Chrysler has done to the PT cruiser.

Have a chili red w/ white Cooper w/ union jack on the roof. Bought it for my 16 year old son. I'm 50 and "borrow" the car whenever I can. I 'grew up' in the car business and have been blessed over the years to have the opportunity to own or at least drive just about every type car and I think this car is the best, all things considered-price, performance etc. The only "problem" at my age, all the attention you get in this car is a little much but, my son is having one heck of a great time. I'd also mention that I really wanted to get the "S" but every dealer told me not to put a teenager behind the wheel of one. I agree and appreciate their honesty. Anywho, the other day a guy in a new Ferrari gave me and the Cooper the thumb's up. Now that's cool.

Yes, I'm an artist, F, am "officially" right-handed, but quite ambidextrous. BTW, MINIclo is at sea now, headed for Port Hueneme on 8/19!!!!

Cheers!

>>I get the impression that BMW is targeting a pretty young, primarily male audience. However, everyone I know who is interested in getting a Mini is over 40 (the male part still stands though). Our dealer here in Denver reports similar results. Not that I am trying to pry or anything, but I would love to find out if my little snapshot of the Mini market is right on target or skewed. Any ideas out there as to how we might conduct a poll?

42, Male and missed my last chance in 1985 with the John Cooper Special. By the way DM was 4 to 1 USD and I could have bought it new off the showroom floor for under $3000.00 US. I was leaving the country and there was no way to convert to uS spec to get it here in under three weeks. WAH! But hey I got one coming now!
My mini is one the boat, My mini is on the boat , My mini is on the boat

I'm a blacksmith/metalsmith/sculptor/designer (ex-architect student as well)

I'm not left handed, but in our shop of four, two are lefties.

I've got the artistic bend with a touch of computer geekiness. I'm a web designer.

Sorry, not left-handed though.

Just to add my 2 cents. I'm male & 49, so i match the demographics
Ask the powers to be here..if we can conduct a poll...similar to the one that asks about the 200+ HP addon.
I don't think any one will take offense... It's simply a poll.

Polls....

d-mini-ero,
The poll you requested was actually run some time ago. The above link will take you to a listing of all polls that have been conducted.
Hope this helps.

28/F but we had one when I was a kid. Most of the MINI ads I've seen seem to have been aimed mostly at Generation X or older-the dealer in my city had a CD rack, presumably of CD's one would listen to while motoring, everything from Radiohead to Coltrane, and I had every CD but two on that rack. On the one hand it was cool, because it made it seem even more as though the car were meant for me (no doubt their intention) but on the other hand it was a little creepy--just how much do they know about their target market??
