53/M Real Estate Developer; '06 Cooper - had it about 2 wks & 1300 mi & love it - solid, well built, blast to drive. 2 other cars in family - '02 Audi TT coupe, 2000 Audi a4 1.8T - Fiancee (40) drives the audis most of the time, but she's gonna love the TT too.
Just ran across this thread today...
Me: 57M, Computer Science Degree, work in IT for WI DOT
Spouse: 55F, Education Degree, works as a High School Spec Ed Teacher
#1 Son: 22, ME degree from UW-Madison, starting Law School next week
#2 Son: 19, starting 2nd year as UW-Madison undergrad next week
(The family members don't like to drive the MINI because it is a manual, too bad, so sad!)

M-33 White over Red R53 (unmodified, but the minute we locked eyes, she knew the mods were coming)
I suspect the average age of the MINI driver is now (and will continue to be) lower as the price of used MINI's continue to fall into the affordable range of the younger demographic. The appeal is undeniable, and the difference between 30k and 15k opens lots of doors.
