R50/53 Mini demographics
I'm a 26 year old female who has always loved Minis. Now that I have my Mini, my 60 year old dad has come into his second time as a teenager. He adores the mini, and is hoping to get a Mini Cooper S.
Target market? Bah. I'm 24/F, but I do agree that this car is aimed at a younger audience than most BMWs. But notice it's the same marketing techniques as the VW New Beetle? I await a Mini commercial that is as entertaining as VW's.
What a good idea!!!!!
I'm a 24 year old girly girl.......
I've noticed that alot of people on here are in media (graphics like myself or other) and I found that interesting.....

25 F, telecommuter/webslinger/writer, married, no kids (yet) except 175 lb. dog, Midwestern native now living on the other side of the Mason-Dixon.
This is my first car purchase. I was raised in the auto industry, so it's taken me this long to get over my, ahem, "respect" for car dealers. Dad actually used to work for Renault - he thinks the MINI calls up my childhood love for our LeCar.
Husband has a 1995 Pathfinder and an unfortunate history of stolen and totalled vehicles - he won't be driving my MINI without a permission slip.
My dealer said in June that she hadn't seen a Silk Green yet, and since that color's going the way of the dodo, I just might have the only one in the area. Regardless, I think I've blown my chances of switching to a career in private investigation - I'm going to have to get used to being conspicuous

M/37 S. Second Mini, had a '72 850, replaced motor with 1275
and loved the car and regretted letting it go. As soon as I saw
they (new ones) were going to be offered here in Spain (U.S.
spec), I was the first in line and got it $2000 below MSRP (Military
discount!). Motor on! Loaded S w/Premium and Sport w/alarm
for $20,900, can't beat that!

Sting, Thanks for doing the work with the kids. I'm an old guy from Oxford, where I worked on the original Morris Minor among other things. I've been in California for a long time now and have a LTL YELO page 14 in the Members Minis Gallery. Good luck with your new car. Don't forget, "You're going to be dead a long time." So you should always do some of the things you want to. Regards. Ron

My 03 MINI will be replacing my 2000 VW Jetta VR6. This will be the first non-sedan I have owned since high school when I built a hot rodded '66 Beetle.
