Anyone have an idea of how many JCW's there are?

Does the number on the certificate indicate your 'JCW number', starting with zero way back when?

If so, who has the highest cert #?

Lastly, how many MC's & MCS's are there in circulation?

My best guess for JCW numbers is approx. 8,000 Worldwide.

The total MINI's sold listed in the above link is for US cars only.

 

Any idea as to how many in this site?
I'd like to know if it's worth doing, I like the 06 idea to have it factory installed, I don't know the mechanics here, it's a brand new dealership, also the factory package has limited slip, standard, in 05, if it's not on your car, you have to pay extra.

I'd like to have mine done but I think I can get more performance for less without the BMW dealer.

 

Not to change topics, but i had a modded '04 MCS before my '03 JCW & the JCW def drives much, much smoother & refined--plus, the dealer can't screw you on warranty stuff.

I don't think I'd pay outright for a new JCW package (big $$), but I found a killer deal on my '03--> DS/B, 15k miles, all four packages & aero kit for $22.4K. A dealer took it as trade-in & didn't know what they had.

I'd look for a good, used '05. I hear the updated gearbox & LSD makes it a ton better than my '03.

I saw a Kit number higher than 9400 posted to the "JCW S, What number is yours?" thread on MINI2.

 

Any idea how many JCW kits are installed on an MC 5 spd?

In my area there are "none sold" but one kit is "ready" at my dealership.
No doubt that the $3000 cost for just a bit of HP increase is the problem. :impatient
