Piano interior

Has anybody seen any more detail on this item than can be seen on the '06 configurator? From what I can see, I like it, but I'm a little confused about the color accents on the passenger side, etc. Anyone seen more or have directions to where you can get more detail until one is actually at the dealer?

I'm still kinda confused about this too, i dunno if it is just a visual thing or it actually has a mechanical purpose (like push a button-turns the car into a boat sorta thing.). anyone with better pics from motoringfile?

They are just painted circles. And they look really dumb to me, I don't know why they come up with such off-the-wall things like this that serve no purpose, and very few people (relatively speaking) will even want. Why not just offer a regular high gloss black dash - forget the artsy fartsy crap?

I have seen it in person and it is drop dead gorgeous! If you are thinking about a '06 Cooper, I highly recommend ordering Solar Red Metallic with the "Piano" dashboard.

That's the beauty of the MINI. The customization process caters to a wide audience of tastes and budgets.

Your dealer should already have a "floor" sample of the different dashes/colors for 2006.

My point is, they don't offer it in simple black also - which would appeal to a MUCH wider audience.
