I email them and they told when it was going to pass through.
I guess it may be obsessive but it had to go through what I have you may be obsessive also.
I have been waiting for a real long time.

>>Did you snag a screenshot of it as it was passing through? That I would be interested to see.
I wish I could have. They have it set so that you can not capture any of the shots. But it is nice to know where the ship is and to actually see it enroute to the port. I did email them again and told them that I would like a JPEG image if they captured one.
I have two PC a my desk, one laptop and one desktop. I just set the laptop on the site and it refreshes itself. Wa able to work and look over to monitor the lock. I am a retired Navy sailor and anything with ships and boats really interests me still. And to see the ship that is carrying my MINI was a real treat. My wife even watched it and she thinks I am obsessed with my MINI.
It was really cool to watch them move the ship through two locks and then see the ship head off to the Pacific Ocean. The Miraflores Locks are the last set of locks prior to the Pacific Ocean.

If you press the print screen key on a pc it will grab the whole desktop as an image. All you need to do is to paste it into any graphics program such as the paint program that comes with windows. Then select save and you have it.

Mini-rolls you really are a MINIac! I am so glad you got the extra treat of being able to see your ship go through the locks. You have been so patient with your long wait.
I think you may be the first MCO member to see their own ship go through the locks (?).

I work with windows all the time and I did do aprint screen but if you look at the web page it is small windowand the print screen capture is .bmp file and when you manipulate it with paint your any other paint program you lose resolution and it looks like crap. That is why I did not post one like that.

Sorry I didn't mean that as an insult. Not all of our fellow miniacs are at the same skill level as you and I. When I post how to do something I try to post for the newbies. I do tech support and I tend to think that way

Sometimes that's all you can get. To me quality is a good thing but something is better than nothing.
BTW tks for the posting of the canal site that's cool.

Jack no worries, I just wanted to explain and in the earlier post I did not want to go into the picture thing.
Glad you enjoy the site it is really cool to watch the boats in the locks. I own a sailboat and before the Hercules Leader a nice 50+ footer was in the lock and they zoomed in on the people on the deck it was really cool.

That used to be a summer tradition. I would pack up my kids and head off to picnic and watch the great lakes freighters going through the Welland Canal locks.
The Welland Canal connects lakes Erie and Ontario. It provides a route around Niagara Falls.

I have also travel many times through the Locks in Seattle in my sailboat. It such a trip to be a boat going through the locks.
Just watching the sunny Panama Canal, I started day dreaming about sailing through and what an experience it would be.
I put it on my to do list..........
