Not until they are done selling the 2005's. . . . I would guess mid-September

Call your dealer and you can get a full list of options. . . .

Edmunds.com has 2006 option and price lists. The information matches the documents that were posted on MotoringFile.com before they were pulled. It even shows dealer invoice prices. Click on your model of interest, then on the "Price with Options" button: http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/mini/cooper/index.html

We went thru the same thing last year. I had my 2005 Cabrio on order long before the configurator was available. Seems like it was September

Not sure what you mean by that. It lists the same roof colors as in the MINIUSA order sheet:
383 Roof/Mirror Caps in Black
3AF Roof/Mirror Caps in Silver
382 Roof/Mirror Caps in White
381 Roof in Body Color

And didn't they start '05 production in July or August? If that's the case, I wouldn't count on it until November/December

My understanding is that 2006 production starts at the beginning of September or possibly VERY late August.

That's what I heard from MINI of Sterling the other day...

The other interesting tidbit I heard from Sterling... They've been told by MINI to expect a 2 MONTH gap in production between their final shipment of 2006 cars and the first shipment of 2007 cars! It seem retooling the plant is expected to take a while...

They're already trying to come up with contingency plans so that they have cars to sell during that gap even though it's still a year out!

Probably because that's when the dealers are expecting to receive their first MY 06 cars...
