I live in Baltimore......Mt. Washington area!

 

I live in the Balto area and work in Laurel. Trying to convince my wife that buying a Mini is the right thing to do. She thinks the cars look cool but too small - 2 kids and all. Any suggestions to help sway her are wildly appreciated. Which dealer are you using, Annapolis or Towson?

 

I am using Towson.....I had no complaints until the other day when they kinda ticked me off.....how about you?

 

You should press the issue that they are actually very safe.....and that they have a roomier interior than it seems from the outside....do you own one already?

 

I live in Hagerstown. Purchased my Cooper from MINI of Towson. Really enjoying my daily 60 mile commute in my MINI. Great handling, good mileage, lots of looks and thumbs up.

 

I have dealt with both dealers with MINI in Baltimore area when I was shopping for the car. No comparison....Tate in Annapolis is way better.....all areas......

Towson charging market premium of $ 4,000 on S......Annapolis - zero

Service area........Towson....no answer on several questions about car..........same questions to Annapolis..........answered........asked both dealers same day.......

Salesperson selling style..........more helpful on questions at Annapolis.......same questions...........

Mini logo wear............more items available...............

Heck, it is located in Annapolis, not Towson !!!!!!! Easy decision..............

 

I'm in Olney, MD. I have an S on order at Towson, will get either a Sept or Oct build. I haven't heard anything about a 4K markup, did they tell you that when they wrote up the order? I did have an order in at Sterling but they have a year wait list for the S.

 

I heard that Annapolis was really good....I went to Towson for convenience because it is only just down the road from where my parents live. I have a Cooper on order and as far as I know there was no mark-up, but I was expecting the car sooner than I am going to actually receive it (that is the annoying factor). The guy that I have been dealing with is helpful and nice though so I really have no complaints in that department....he has been able to answer the majority of my questions for me.

 

I live in N. Delaware so I'm pretty close to MD. Bought my Cooper at Towson. Didn't see any markup on the Cooper or S there.

Some of us have already gotten together for a drive from Alexandria, VA to Annapolis, MD last month. We've started a National Capitol area chat group to help coordinate out efforts. Several of us are motoring down to Richmond on Saturday.

I live in University Park (next to U of MD) I've got a Cooper on order from Tate.
They were much better than BMW Arlington VA which is 20 miles closer. No markup but they said I had to buy $600 of dealer options. Not a big deal.

I saw the mark-up on the add-on sticker at the dealer on silver S on the lot for sale about 2 weeks ago. Was not a special S per se with extra add-ons and not a demo........ :smile:

 

Expecting Velvet red with black roof Mini in August.
Ordered from Towson with only one problem.
I could not decide on color.

Hello! I am from Southern MD. We are most likely using Tate Mini of Annapolis.

 

When everyone's cars are delivered I would love to do some sort of get together for the Maryland area! I would love to take a look at everyone else's Minis! :smile:

 

That would be a cool idea..

Been to Tate a few times already, and they always have about 20 Mini's ready to go.. (sold sign on them that is)..

There are really nice people there!

Why dont you take the wifey and kids and go test drive it, it is extremely fun, and pretty roomy for a little car? I would suggest Annapolis...

 

I live 3 miles from Elton in Newark DE. Hopefully my Velvet Red MINI will be at the Towson Dealership by the 24th of July. Anticipation is high - I NEED MY MINI. I would be interested in a gathering say in Aug? Just name the place.

Unfortunetaly, we are JUST ordering ours, and are expected to get it around march/april 03.

 

Yeah mine should (key word SHOULD) be here in late July.....I was thinking maybe somewhere in downtown Baltimore....like Fells Point during the late afternoon or early evening on a weekend!

Fells Point would be perfect....we'll be the only people who's cars can fit in the parking spaces down here!
