I've been on ym dealer's list for BRG/WHT Cooper S since the end of October. It'll be months before I get through the regualr allocation process. In talking to the dealership, they have an Indi Blue w/ blue roof in stock with all the options I want.

So the question is: Do I wait for the car I ordered or give into the instant gratification of a driving a MINI now? I should say that I actually like the blue a great deal, it just wasn't my first choice.

Any advice? I'm need to decide soon.

Thanks to all.

Both are great colors! So unless you will always want a BRG like me, I would say go for it!

That is if the dealer isn't going to honk you for a big MSRP adder then it becomes more of an issue.

Even I'm asking myself if this is a rediculous question. Why whould I wait? One the hand vs. two in the bush, and whatnot.

if you love the green, then it'll be worth the wait. Lots of indy blue ones out there so I'd think that the green would make it a bit more unique.

Enjoy the wait and let the anticipation build!!! it's winter anyway, so if you wait till spring you'll get to enjoy the better weather and won't have to worry about the motoring problems in the winter.

If the blue is not your first choice, I'd wait. It will be worth it to get what your REALLY want.

I am waiting for an Indi Blue MSC. Should be ready in March

Is it..."In the bush is better than your hands?"...or do I still have that wrong.

If you like the Blue, get it. I've always been one for instant gratification. I just got lucky that the BRG/WHT that I wanted also happened to be on the showroom floor.

Must be the luck of the Irish or something...

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

In other words, buy it. A car is about the fun (and basic transport value) of driving it. You can't drive an immaginary car. That's why I've never gotten this waiting thing when one has the same-cost option of just buying one [shrug].

Your question is just like "I won the lottery, but they will only pay me in ten dollar bills, should I take it".

Nah, I'd wait if I were you.

So was the IB your second choice? Third?
Do you want INSTANT gratification or EVERLASTING gratification? Stick with your first choice and be foever happy.
