Does anyone have any experience with having a semi-political bumper sticker on their Mini? I'm considering two: "One Less SUV" and "Thank You for Not Breeding." (I'm picking mine up at the Utah dealership ) In reality, I probably won't do it at the risk of inciting retaliation from hostile parties.

"Thank You for Not Breeding." Go with that one! I love it and in Utah no less.

>>I'm not speeding...I'm qualifying!

How about:

I'm not tailgating....I'm drafting

Oh yeah...that one's for the SUV's as they sit inches off our bumpers

I have been looking for that bumper sticker for so long! Please tell me where you got it! Or get another one and I'll pay you for it! I'll PM you!

I think bumper stickers are okay, although I would never consider one because I think they are hard to remove.

Has anyone ever removed a bumper sticker? Doesn't leave behind some adhesive?

Who wants that? :???:

I have a MINI5280.org sticker on either side rear window.

The stickers are a lot easier to remove from the windows than from the paint.

Two of the best I've ever seen:

In California -- SMUCK FOG

In Colorado -- Don't Californicate Colorado

In NRA territory -- Support The Right to ARM BEARS

Yeah, I periodically do see the "Don't Californicate Colorado" sticker around here (chances of seeing that sticker dramatically improve if you go to Boulder).

If I were considering defacing BEEP with a ... gasp ... bumper sticker ....

I think I'd use one I've saved for a few years:

No one is completely useless

They can always serve as a bad example.

I am not much of a fan of bumper stickers. I especially would never put a sticker on my car that might give someone a reason to want to teach me a lesson by keying the paint, smashing a headlight, etc. I have strong opinions and am not afraid to voice them, but plastering them on my defenseless MINI could make him a target when I'm not around.

I had one made up that says, "The little Engine that CAN", and put it on the rear windshield just below where the wiper stops, on the right side. Thinking of where I can put, "I Speed up for corners".
As for bumper stickers, if you find it hard to remove them, try a blow dryer on that surface. It'll heat it up making it more plyable, then scrape off with a credit card or something that's not going to scratch. Then use some bug&tar remover for the rest. Or WD40. Voila.
I'm not really one for decals, bumper stickers, or any major thing like that. Which I why I didn't get a roof decal. I like a nice clean look. The ones I have are small and situated in a place where it doesn't clash with the rest of the look of the car. But then everyone has their own taste in what they like or dislike.
Cheers,

I completely agree. I just wanted to float the topic out there to see if such reactions have occurred to any one who did express their opinions via bumper stickers. It seems from other posts I've read that unprovoked vandalism happens to unadorned Minis, which concerns me a little. (I don't have my car yet.)

Best bumper sticker I've seen:

I WANT TO DIE PEACEFULLY, IN MY SLEEP LIKE MY GRANDFATHER.
NOT YELLING & SCREAMING LIKE HIS PASSENGERS.

There was a guy at RSpeed this weekend that had modified his Cooper insignia. Now it says

Pooper

Absolutely hysterical!

Jeff

ps: cool shop. Saw some of the Rota's that Ficcion bought, and some beautiful team dynamics rims.

I'll take that one .. where can I get it?

As for the topic, I don't mind small statements on windows w/ a mind for neutral/humorous topics .. I too don't want to deal with removing them from paint, metal or plastic later when it's time to upgrade/trade

The best place for stickers is on the glass. All it takes is a sigle edge razor blade to take it off without damage to the surface.

My thoughts exactly. I don't mess with bumper-stickers that **** unintelligent people off. The cowards like to key cars.
I do, however love to stick bumper-stickers on other people's SUVs... read
THIS STORY.

Bumper-stickers can be ordered from SUV.org.

>>Wouldn't the rear wiper tend to peal the stickers up at the edges?

Actually, It does not effect the wiper or the sticker...

And People Read it...And ask about it... and visit the sites.
The Mini alone causes wrecks...but add a vinyl ad and UH OH!
