Rachel, you won't be able to get pepper white with white wheels, cuz you can't get solid white roof with pepper white, only body color or black, which means silver wheels always and the longest run-on sentance I've written in recent memory!

Seriously though, it was more just a mockery of the "if there's a space we should charge for advertising" marketing scheme kinda thing. You should get ahold of that cutlery company sticker on the back of Burnie!
Anything for a laugh,
Ryan

I urge EVERYONE to e-mail and/or call BMW NA and MINI USA to let them know legal action against MCO is nothing but a bad idea; sales, image, and enthusiasm will do nothing but plummet for MINI. I am sickened that MINI is stupid enough to think that suddenly getting greedy is appropriate after they have been actively participating as a member of MCO for the past year!
Thumbs down to MINI USA!
MINI USA get's a case of Stupidity

Chatted with Bbuskas tonight, seems he's still alive and well, although not hanging on MCO much anymore [gasp!] He was raving how he just tried Zaino products, and loved, loved the result. Ironically, I just placed an order for the Zaino kit today for MM2
Mileage update!
Katiedidmini: 3600 miles
Red: 2000+, and he got it wet!
Ryephile: 7800, from the grave

oh dear, no need for heavy breathin' on account of lil' ol' me! (j/k!).
And the mileage thing.. it's actually a hair over 6,000 miles now. *gulp* But the average monthly mileage has gone down!
Ryan, my letter to BMWNA's 'tards has been sent. What a bunch of.. ugh. Almost makes me want to rip the badges off my car and send them back. Except for the holes it would leave...

Prudence is up to 4700 miles already, not to mention hitting 20 treatments for the white wheels. Seems high, but I did put 400 miles on her within the first two days driving from LA to SF.
Ryan: I see you're going for black the second time around. I approve.
-Quinn
I'll post a photo of Prudence soon. No, really.

Everyone be sure to sign The Petition to support MCO and to try to knock some sense into BMW NA legal

4 months a little over 4000 miles on the S 12 months 17000 miles on the Cooper. I am truly pleased. Wish I was getting that great milage others get 21 city 25 hwyin the S 31/35 Cooper. Still adjusting to the major power loss at take off with AC but 2000 rpms seams to be the balance between successful launch and slow death in the intersection. The S getrag tranny is far superior to the sloppy shifting in the Cooper 0 -35 they are quite equal otherwise. over 35 and the S well lets say it's worth the extra cash. I am glad the cooper has the sun roof and I am glad the S doesn't. The Lapis is awesome in the S. But I also love the Panther profile leather in the Cooper. We plan on keeping these so the leather was a must have. Cooper problems
1. Bad blemish in factory paint on bonnet
2. sunroof rattle several times.
3. Airbag light due to connection on front seats
4. Oil leak cross threaded canister from factory.
All Items above repaired
5. Buckle in 2 places drivers side roof Scheduled for repair
6. severe boot rattle both pistons on support arms are shot
I think thats it.
S
1. Boot latch not functioning (repaired)
2. Doors do not unlock on off 400 miles round trip to dealer this can wait
3. Major brake dust on white wheels Saving for EBC pads
4. JCW and other types of pully and ECU upgrade envy issues (counseling)
I love them both. Only thing I might change on the Cooper is I would not get a black roof again. I think they will fix it. But it just doesn't seem like a good shape to get cooked that much buy the sun. The S nothing nada not a thing I love it. Well except the whole mod thing
MINIJAMIE feels pretty much the same except one thing. She drive the Cooper all the time and she now has serious S envy. When we consider trading at the end of warranty her choice is clear CR/CR S 1,2,3 NAV, I think thats it
You all be Carefull and have fun. And good luck Mferguson hope this all works out

Well I am reunited with my mini at last! My step dad put 300 miles on her over the last 3 days! But he also gave Poly some mods, which is very cool, but now I have a few questions for you guys:
The first mod I got was the S gas cap. The thing is though, I just noticed that the plastic that the gas cap sits in is a light grey color. This seems really wierd to me, as there is no other grey plastic on the car. Is the real MCS gas cap like this??????
The other thing is that I now have a moss skid plate on Poly. But appearently they bolts they provided are not the right bolts and we're afraid that they will rust if I drive the car in the snow in the winter. I'm thinking I should ask moss to send me the real bolts and when I go in for my oil change, I have the mini service people replace the bolts? All this is kinda scarey to me since I don't really have immediate access to the underside of my car......

Not sure on the gas cap question will look at my mine to see, i think the actual cap is black and the inside bits are green??? well something is green colored maybe the gas cap holder, as for the bolts rusting, technically only a problem when you go to remove the skid plate
so, uh, Quimby - when did you get your MINI?
-->Katie, the S gas cap door is chrome and the surrounding trim is body color; perhaps your dad forgot to have the trim painted to match!

2,500 miles and all seems to be well except that the glovebox pops open. Don't think it ever latched properly, just friction holding it.
To look at/shim/move two little 7mm bolts I had to make an appointment with the dealer on 8/20 at 8AM, and they are two hours away and I hate waking up early! Good thing I love this car.
Hey Ryan! The windshiled wipers work nice! Now where can I pick up some of that stinky OEM washer fluid here in the States?
Regards,
Red

My goodness y'all...
I was just starting to miss my MINI (can I use that word?) while out of town when I looked out the window of the motel and saw a beautiful DS/B MCS parked outside, now I was really bummed. I met the owner and it turned out that he and his girlfreind both have MINIs (hers is EB/W)...small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it (thanks Gallagher for the lame joke)...at least when I got home my package from Classic Mini was waiting...yaaaaaah fun project tomorrow.
Howdy Quimby...have we met before????
Later y'all...must...sleeep...now....

>>Red, just get whatever washer fluid, it doesn't matter. It's one of those very rare instances where the yuppie BMW stuff actually [i]isn't[/b] better  But it does have that "imported" smell.

Just turned 5,100 miles, not bad for a car that only gets driven a couple of times a week. Changed the oil and filter and rotated the tires front to rear. Good to go for another 5K!

OK guys,
Parcel shelf and aux input are in...VERY COOL!!
If you are considering either/both of these mods, I suggest you do them together...the front of the shelf is the perfect plasce for the aux jack and it puts your iPod/player in a much more convenient location than the glovebox...I'll try to post pics when I get a chance!

Hey chef,
What did I tell you - the parcel shelf and AUX (done together) the best money you can spend.
Terry Sayther's shop installed my H-Sport springs and Alta sway bar this week. I have not driven it very hard since then, but it does seem to want to corner faster and flatter now. But, it is bumpier now - don't know yet how to evaluate the tradeoffs. It does increase my desire for non-runflats, however.
See you at Starbucks...

Is Chef bringing the pastries? It would be worth the trip. But I have to be back at work Monday.
