I don't know if this has already been covered, but I saw the vanity plate thread so I thought of this. What is/will be the name of your new Mini Cooper? If there's a reason or a story for it, we'd love to hear it.
I'm not getting mine until after April, but I may name her Brittany. Why? Well, think about where the Cooper came from. I'll have to reinforce that she's Brittany and NOT Britney since I despise the damn pop singer with all her makeup and implants.

I tried to get many different plates to name my yellow mini with a white top...like OVER EZ...LEMN DRP...FRYD EGG...BIG MINI..
HED TRNR...TZA MINI...I should have got...INIMINI...or...ENIMINE.. Because I'm into palindromes, but I settled for
LTL YELO...Ron...BTW, seems like there are too many letters in BRITTANY! Britain has only one tee.

Most prov/state plates only have a 6 letter/number maximum. Vanity plates I think are 7 character max. But I think 8 characters would be a bit much. Maybe Britainy, if you can get away with an 8 character plate. A buddy of mine suggested "UK's Yugo" or something like that. Not sure if I'd run around in a MINI with Brittany on the plates though. Just my personal prefferance. No offense. It'll come in time. I'm still waiting for the writers block to clear so I can come up with something as well.
Cheers

Oh no, I wouldn't get a vanity plate with the car's name on it! I'm just merely thinking of a name for my S and wondering what you guys named your own MINIs. Personally, I'm not too big into vanity plates.

This topic was covered a few weeks ago. There were some good names. We named our baby, Maxine. Sounded like a sexy, sassy chick who could show you a thing or two (well at least, that's how I'd like to envision her).

I just got my Chili Red with Black roof on Saturday. Her name is 'Mimi', sort of short for Minnie Mouse'. I am not getting vanity plates though.

I have suggestions for other colors:

White: Minnie 'Pearl'
Blue: Robin
S - lighter blue with white roof: Smurf
Green: irish theme: Erin
Yellow with black roof: Lazy Susan
(my name is Susan, so my family would have approved the name)

I've named every car I've ever had, starting with Patrick, the 1959 Newport that didn't go in reverse! Currently I'm driving Yoko, a Honda Civic EX. My MINI will be named Gidget. She's silk green with white roof/mirrors, wheels. I had thought of naming her Peanut at first, but then decided she needed a cute girl name instead. Of course I may change my mind once I see her . She's en route now, so it shouldn't be too long now.

I saw some cute hawaiian shirt looking seat covers online, and am hoping to get them for my birthday in August. I think they'd fit in with the Gidget Goes Hawaiian theme. Since I live in Tampa, I'm thinking she'll be a great beach car.

When I decided I was getting a Cooper, there was no question about the name: Special Agent Dale.

I have decided on Bull Dog, My PS w/ Blk and sun roof looks like one. All seven Bulldogs in the family have been named Zipper. Texas personalized plate supporting Big Bend National Park (www.nps.gov/bibe) will be BLDOG....

BRG/white top was originally going to be named "Kermit". But have decided to name it "Mulligan" instead.

The President of our local Mini club picked up her MC last Thursday. It's yellow w/blk top & mirrors. Only option was the Nav. system. Since this system has a 'little'
shark fin on the top for an antenna, she named it "sharky".

We thought about vanity plates, then decided just to name 'em. I put my name on a dealer list Sunday, June 9th, and drove an Electric Blue S w/sport package home Tuesday, June 11th - just had to pay a "slight" premium Ha! My wife drove a regular brg/white mini w/ lots of options home exactly 14 days later - we drove a harder bargain on hers, and ended up paying only 1000 or so premium. We originally named mine "Blue Meanie" as in the bad guys in Yellow Submarine. Can't think of a way to get the spelling fairly recognizable in 7 chars though - the closest would be BLUMENE. But that could be construed as an un-imanginative "blue mini". Oh well, anyway, after my wife got hers, we decided just to call them Gary and Alice. What a combo eh?

Having fun in our go-carts
Rudy & Kathy

My daughter, Allison, has fallen in love with the MINI and has adopted it as her's (she is ten and figures in six short years its going to be her first car) and has named it. Our Cooper, see she is starting to get her way, I mean my Cooper is BRG so I wanted to stick with formula 1 referenced names in honor of John Coopers F1 racing efforts. John for Mr. Cooper or Jack for Mr. Brabham or ladybird in honor of his 57 F1 cars. Of course I also thought of Bean since it works on a couple of levels.

But the Cooper is called Speck, I like this because it is such a tiny car and has a pet like quality to the name. It has nothing to do with Allison’s favorite character in "a bugs life" Princess Dot or Speck as she is nicknamed.

I have a pepper white Cooper on order [w/matching lid]

I'm thinking of calling her 'Pip' sort of modified variation of Pepper.
I also like Gidget.
she'll look like an egg though. Hmmm..
