BEST Counterfeit MINI I ever saw. (Contest)

Ok ladies and gents, roll on up, roll on up.

I propose a contest. Here's to the best counterfit MINI that YOU captured on camera.

Here is mine, spotted here in my very own Los Angeles. Westwood to be exact. This one is classic.

Great idea, CamelPilot!

Here is wseattlemini's entry:

Wow...what an AWESOME All-Liquid Yellow with custom bonnet and body stripes...and the ambiance of its location is so sweet!

I've got a beauty (I think), but I only had my Holga with me when I saw it, and I haven't had the film developed yet. Gimme a week or so, and you'll get to see a lovely Geo Metro decked out in full Counterfeit MINI regalia!

Yes, the best.

In fact I'm starting to wonder if that isn't the next gen MINI under factory cammo. Are those the new xenon's perhaps? Nah...never mind. The more I look at it the more I realize that it's a real race car not intended for the street. Probably some European touring car series.

Very similar to a MINI +2 doors. Others have commented they thought so too. Would that be like a "fake" MINI?

About 30 mpg
Even has a central dash speedo- how unique?

Paint the roof white and add some bonnet stripes.

I'm wondering what makes a car a counterfeit MINI? Can you explain?

Does the 1956 XC9000 designed by Issigonis count as a counterfeit?

(and, no I'm not old enough to have taken this photo myself)

Dom, are you serious? Haven't you seen the hilarious new MINIUSA counterfeit MINI stuff online? When I was at Brian Harris MINI in Baton Rouge, Louisiana last Friday, they even had a Counterfeit MINI brochure! It states in very small print "If we had our way, the penalty for manufacturing or trafficking counterfeit MINI Coopers would be the 100-arm bad dream spanking machine."

Check it out at http://counterfeitmini.org

OK, I guess I've been outta the loop. So, it's not other car designers making a car that looks like a MINI (but did you like the xc9000?). It appears to be about people who accessorize their car or race their car that counts, right, since that is what the yellow, silver and red cars appear to be.
