60k Miles: Costs since warrantee

Zero. My '02 MCS has had no problems. I still have my original windshield, for gosh sake! The only expense since the free maintenance ran out has been oil changes. I'm glad (so far) that I didn't extend maintenance or warrantee.

I bought the car new. Here's what had to be fixed early on:
-Loose filler cap.
-Replaced coolent reservoir.
-Fixed dashboard rattle.
-Fixed boot rattle.

I am ready to have my brake pads and rotors looked at.

Good luck to all NAM members with newer cars, I hope you are as fortunate.

My 2005 MC (my first MINI) should be delivered next week. I only hope to be a fortunate as you with the car... The wife's already interested in the proposed Clubman variant, so a reliable first MINI would help insure another in the future...

Always good to hear others have such trouble free MINIs
I have had thousands of dollars of warrenty work done. Not going to get into that now.I still love motoring in this car,and with 45K miles in 20 months,90% highway,I plan on doing at least that many miles in the next 20 months, then my extended warrenty will be up,the 07s will be out,and I will decide what to do then.Untill then I'm going to have fun in the only car I want to own

My 2002 MCS has so many problems, is like the MINI dealer are like my second home because I have to visit this place from 2002 to 2004 for more the 27 time. Finally after my gear box need replacing after my warrentee are over. I decided move to the 2005 MCS and the MINI is only 3 months old and now I have my sun roof rattle but I still love my MINI.....

Hey Beagle,
I've been having problems with a loose filler cap. My dealership has been trying to fix it but i've had to bring it back to them 3 or 4 times with the service light coming back on with a minor fuel vapor leak. I'm Getting Very Tired of it . So how did they fix yours? Just looking for the solution to my problem.
Thanks much,
James

We have an '04 MCS and an '05 MCS. No problems at all. Small rattles on the '04 excluded.

Good to hear. My 03 is very simular to yours. I now (as of the drive home today have 66K and the only cost I've had for maintenance has been one oil change (which I did myself so $30.00) and one set of tires. Will need second set this summer.

Warenty fixes include: coolant tank
- rear latch
- recalled rear suspension bolt

I'm still on my original windshield too .

Its been more reliable than any toyota or honda I ever owned in the past.

I think it was around May'ish of last year ( I can check my records for the actual date) But the car had 35K when I did it. So I have a little over 31k on the pulley.

I just took mine in yesterday for my check engine light coming on. They replaced a sensor. Said it was the second one in two weeks. Don't have the service ticket with me now. If you want I can post more details later.

"THDUKE" reads 81K on the odometer, has been up and down the East Coast so many times I have lost count. 18K miles before JCW install, that makes it 63K miles with the JCW. My take on this is all mechnical things will need maintainance and repair so for a car that has 20+ hard driven track days and 81K on the odometer 'THDUKE' has done well, outside of all my mods the only real expense so far is frequent oil changes and a drive belt.

I can say with confidence that this car has been reliable, never had to be towed to dealer never left me on the road (knock on wood) what more does one need from their car
