Auto lock...

on my Mini was a standard setting and kicks in at 11mph(no idea where they came up with that). Other than that I had nothing taken off or added.

Also, if you aren't too far away from your dealer, ask them if you can get the first programming done later. That way, if you are undecided about something, you can live with the way it's set up from the factory and think about things you like that you may have thought you wouldn't or vice versa. That way, you won't have to pay if you change your mind in a couple weeks

Thats not a bad idea either. I just ordered the alarm / rear fog from classic, since I forgot to put those on when I ordered it .

My car locks automatically at 12mph and unlocks when I turn off the key.

I also had them program an audible tone when the low gas light comes on. I haven't heard it yet as I've always added gas before the light turns on. In fact, I don't even know what the light looks like.

I said I didn't want the comfort opening because I've heard of people who have come out to their cars and their windows were down and sunroof open from accidentally holding the button down (while in their pocket or purse).

FWIW, make sure you get the post-Jan 1'05 MINI alarm - this replaces the LEFT stalk instead of the right, which now has a low washer fluid light. As I understand, they are not available yet. Get the wrong one and you'll really be !

My MA told me today that they'll be able to install the new alarm configuration when my car's delivered next week, so it should be available all around soon.

I have the comfort opening,no false openings.I have both doors and hatch unlock with one button push,I always have to load the dog.I don't have auto lock, scares the crap out of me to be locked in a car,no kids,so not to worried about myself opening my door while moving.I have the follow me home lights set for 90 seconds,no street lights here, and by the time I let the dog out, plug in the block heater, and get to the front door, they go out, nice.
I don't have the ding for low fuel turned on,usually refill at 1/2 a tank or so,but the light is yellow.

Yellow?

Do you mean that the low fuel light in the center speedo cluster is yellow in your car? Is it different colored for cars in Canada? It lights red in mine, usually when there is 2 gallons of gas left in the tank. The OBC usually reads around 60 miles when it comes on.
