What fell out of my mini?

I was putting my mini up on jacks to remove some road debris that got stuck under my car. One of the jack stands slipped from the jack mount and punched a hole through a section of plastic. Some of this black carbon 'rice' material fell out.

I suspect it's some sort of sound deadening material. Has anyone seen this before and is this something I should be concerned about and try to replace the affected area?

I took it for drive after I got it all cleaned up and removed the original debris with no issues or increased cabin noise.

Interesting suggestion! If so, much better that destroyed than punching a hole in the unibody undercarriage or a large divot (depending on shape of the jack stand saddle). Rather than $250 for new, I see AllMag has used for $50 (less 20% coupon code today) which would be a cheap fix...

That's it! THANK YOU.

Absolutely agree! It was a couple of minutes of panic that resulted in... what is all this? It was a bit of a mess to clean but so much better than many alternatives.

Just placed an order for the one on AllMag. Appreciate the assist.
