I’ve just changed out my clutch slave cylinder and last year did my suspension and both times tried to follow this tube and figure out what this linkage is.
I know my inner cv boot is cracked so this widget is covered in grease. That axel is next.
Who can tell me what their is… LHD 2005 MCS manual with factory lsd (for all intents and purposes, the car is stock) Only on the driverside just above a hole in the lower A arm
+2 headlight level sensor.
Now that you know what it is... If you could take a moment to clean that messiness under the car to look as beautiful as the outside....
(just poking fun)
It is a plastic 'stop' piece that is inserted into the sub frame to help when re inserting the crash tubes. It is not needed.
You can throw it away....Or you can put on your shelf in a glass museum display box as a memoir when you did this job.
It took me a few minutes to figure out it's orientation when I put it back in. Just for nothing more than out of sheer curiosity.
(I like puzzles).
EDIT:
Ooops - Sorry - I didn't see that Lukas already answered the question above.
('still makes for a nice display piece though)
It's a weird part and I can't think of why they were designed in the first place. Having said that, they always fall of the car when removing the crash tubes and I always put them back 😂

They were designed for easy assembly (for a machine I guess) in the factory. They're not needed when you manually align things yourself.
