Door Plug - Part Number?

I was working on the inside door of my Mini when I saw these "plugs" in the bottom on the door, inside. Its falling apart and there are two of them in the bottom of the door. When I pulled it out it kind of crumbled in my hands. It is a soft rubber not plastic. Are these needed to keep moisture and dirt out? I cant find the part number anywhere. Will a strong plastic tape do the same thing? Any insight is appreciated.

This side faces up in side the door

This is the side that faces down toward the ground

I'm sorry I don't have any part info.
However, I thank you for posting these pics!
I had found one of these plugs laying in the spot where I normally park. I had upgraded my door speakers months ago and cleaned up the interior door panel as well...

You can email ECS, ALLMAG, or if you have any salvage yards near your local - it might be a good place to start.

Do a search on Amazon for "rubber plug" and you'll find dozens of sources. Measure what you have; you will probably have to buy an assortment to get the ones that fit but they're cheap.

Go to Lowe's and look in their hardware section. They have all kinds of interesting parts including similar plugs.

Just got an Amazon kit. The hole size is 25.4mm. The new plugs are more like rubber vs the old plastic plugs. Worked perfect.

Not exactly on subject but thought I would pass this along. I bought a similar selection of brass crush washers from Amazon for oil changes - dirt cheap and they work well.
