Opening the driver's door on my recently purchased 2002 Mini is not a happy experience. It just seems a bit too loose and sloppy. All the hinge fasteners seem nice and tight, so I'm stumped for the moment.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

 

I had the same issue on my 04MCS, I lossened the Hinge and moved it closer to the body of the car and then tightend it, I also put a few small (quarter inch size ) rubber mounts in the door jams, the door not only is aligned better it closes perfectly now with a much tighter seal

 

Thanks, JRoca. Could you give me a little more detail about the 1/4-inch rubber mounts. What exactly did you use and where did you place them?

 

You can get them at home depot, the little things you put under a chair or table so you dont scratch the floor is what I used. 3 on each door
1 right by the latch on the actualy door, and 2 on the bottom seem of the door. Sounds much more solid when I close it now
