Help Diagnosing "Humming Vibration"

I bougt a used 02 S back in may and I've noticed an increased humming while driving.

Some observations:
- Recently got new tires and balanced, humming persists
- I can feel the vibration through my gas peddle but not through my steering wheel
- Driving at 50 - 70mph
- Straight hums
- swerve or bank left hums
- swere or bank right humming stops

I have a mechanic that I trust but I'd like to get a few opinions before I spend the hour to have them take a look.

Thanks for your help

what tires?

we put Goodyear eagles on our 02S (17" S-Lites) and after about 5000 they buzzed so bad I thought the tranny was going ....

this humming was consistent with the TireRack review and comments. I didn't realize HOW loud people were saying they were

So just in case any of you are keeping track...

I took my 02 MCS to a friend on Saturday. He put it up on the lift and pulled both front wheels at 12 and 6 and found that the right front was just a tad loose. It was barely perceptable to me. He then started spinning the wheels and the right front made a nice whirring noise, different from the other wheels, that was louder in one spot which at slow speed made a nice "whumpff whumpff whumpff sound. (All 4 wheels had little wows in them but nothing to cause the kind of humming vibration that I was describing. I'll may be seeing him at a later date to straighten and pretty the wheels up.)

Sounds like the right front wheel hub assembly is going bad. Sounds like you typically get about 70k out of them and I'm at 72k.

AutoXCooper gave me a recommendation for finding good Mini mechanics and I've followed up there and just waiting to hear back. There's a shop not far from work that seems convenient and honest. I've called them and asked for an estimate.

Some questions:
Do I go OEM or aftermarket for the wheel hub?
Should I replace the front control arm bushing(s) as long as I'm in there?
Any other recommendations for items that should be replaced while in there?

Thanks for everyone's input.
