Los Angeles 1st Gens

Hi Forum, this is my first thread. My first time on here, I just had a question. I just got an R53 JCW and I live in the Socal area (LA). I was wondering if there were any groups out there that go cruising, or have a driving squad. It’ll be cool to have a mini community around here.

but be aware many groups are either defunct, or have moved to places like Facebook and are no longer active here.
Might give a search on there for LA mini cooper groups.

I moved to Arizona from SoCal during Covid. That being said.

check out: Socal Mini Maniac - https://scmm.org

I have participated in many events over the years and everyone was great. Loved cruising along the coast after a quick brunch with the group.

^^^ Likewise, I moved from native SoCal to central AZ (~ 100 miles NE of Phoenix) 10 yrs ago. In SoCal, enjoyed clubs such as AROSC (Alfa Romeo Owners) during yrs 1974 until near 2000 when I sold my former from-new 1974 GTV, however seems most drivers these days consider relatively sporty cars as mere transportation. With the subsequently larger and "less-sporty" MINIs following 1st Gen models, seems likely marque ownership clubs are destined to fading history. I'd rather be wrong...

Met the SoCal MINI group at the dragon back in the day, lots of owners in that group. Most of them moved to FB but some are still on here.
