The TPE is quite a splurge! Please let us know the results. Hope it delivers. Really eager to hear about this.

I wonder if the increased flow will require a tweak in the tune as well??

The TPE manual says a tune may be needed to keep things from running lean, but unsure given Adrian already worked his magic. I'll base a retune on if/how the mod affects my A/F ratio and put that guage to good work! Adrian has things running very rich on WOT at the moment so I'll be suprised if it's needed.

Hi all,

Been awhile since I checked in, but wanted to share I'm still loving my ride. You can see my enthusiasm for it in the amazing father's day card and gift from my daughter!

One year in, the car runs like a champ. The only changes since my last post are new front wheel hubs and that TPE pipe. I would have responded sooner about the pipe purchase, but honestly I can't tell much of a difference for the significant costs involved. I've concluded you'd be hard pressed to find a more expensive dollar/HP proposition that a Mini, once the basics are done! Speaking of which, a deal on a TVS9000 is not in the cards, but I've been thinking about my supercharger. There seems to be a lot of interest in the M62 modded to fit on the UK side, which comes out as a bargain assuming you can manage the fabrication and added heat - anyone here given this a go? Also a front mounted intercooler has been top of mind, but seems all the extra piping hinders boost potential. Would love to keep going on power + reliability but feels like I'm hitting the limit.

Anyway, thanks to all on this board who coached me through the build and hope the summer's treating you well!

Added but unsure if it's worth it

Best father's day gift!

I decided to have a go with an Eaton M62 off a Cobalt SS, along with all the fabrication needed to make things work. My mini runs beautifully, so I'll enjoy summertime behind the wheel and this will likely be a fall project as the season wraps up. This mod has gained a lot of traction in the UK, but if anyone still active at NAM taken this on, please let me know! Whether this works out for me or not, I'll keep folks informed on my progress.
