Flushing the cooling system

Hi All, I am about to have my cooling system apart to replace hoses. How is the best way to flush the system through. I intend to use a hose pipe. Thanks

If the old coolant comes out clean and not discolored I would recommend NOT flushing. If you flush there will be residual water in the system when you refill. 1.This was is not distilled. 2. You have no idea how much is in there and you won't be able to get a true 50/50 mix of coolant and water.

Use Prestone radiator cleaner and distilled water. Follow the instructions. You'll need 3-4 gallons of distilled water (cheap at Walmart). Cleaning the radiator can make a big difference. Use pre-mixed coolant when refilling.

Thanks for the message. I used today a test syringe to test the antifreeze level and it was as clear blue as I put it in 12 months ago.
