Question -
What do you all use for cleaning and protection of your interior plastics, (dash, door panels) ?
Although I try to keep most hours of the sun off of the dash (windshield cover), it (and the upper door panels) look like the plastic is starting to dry up. No cracks yet, just attempting to hold that off for as long as possible.
I've only used Aerospace 303 on all plastics and leather inside my 2005 R53 (nearly 17 years worth). It has a low shine. My interior still appears new, despite living in South Florida. I purchase the product from a boat owners warehouse. I reapply the product 4 times per year. Highly recommended.
I've never conditioned the leather, as I use 303 on all leather/vinyl/plastic surfaces and also the rubber around the doors. It seems to be holding up well. One small bottle last one year.
I guess?
ps the decal on the glove box is my added security that my little chunk won't be a victim of theft...Thugs can't drive a manual transmission.

I've seen it advertised, never used any of their products. Will look into it.
I've used VRP for ~5+ years. No complaints, but can't speak to how it holds up to decades of wear and tear. It cleans, restores original color, and provides a gentle matte finish. No shine like armorall. It works wonderfully on bringing back black to exterior trim and a mild tire shine, but on badly oxidized trim it'll start to fade in a few weeks.
I've used and liked Adam's products but am currently using Griot's Garage. They have an interior cleaner and an interior detailer. The detailer is low sheen and has little scent. Can't speak to longevity.
Today was application # 68 of Aerospace 303...over nearly 17 years. The fresh application does appear shiny at first (as pictured)
...but will turn to a matte finish by tomorrow. Not perfect...but ....
Of my 13k or so posts, probably around 3k were in the Detailing 101 forum. And in my humble opinion, those recommending Aerospace 303 are spot on. Great UV protection, keeps the original colors in tact, goes on a bit too shiny but within hours settles into a good looking finish. Probably went thru at least 25 bottles on my MINIs. Most interior surfaces and the exterior plastics too.
