Help! Dsc & tpms light on | Lithium battery

hello fellow Miniacs. So the car was running perfect. Before the corona hibernation. No codes. New tune. Everything is on point. Decided to park the car for 3 months or so.

During the hibernation I’ve been modding the exterior only. Been on jack stands on and off.
Added new gauges as well.
Then i decided to upgrade the battery to a 2.5lbs lithium battery. So Tiny. Needed to find room for my meth install. Anyways. Car started. But now The DSC and the TPMS lights are on. I can’t turn it off from the toggle. I tried resetting the TPMS, That didn’t work either.

Took her out for a spin. Did couple pulls here and there and the traction control is off. Wanted to make sure it’s not just a malfunction light.

i don’t mind the DSC because i mostly have that off anyway unless it’s raining.

Anyone here has that experience? There’s no codes when i plug my OBD scanner.

is it a bad TPMS sensor? TPMS sensor works with DSC ?

Thank You in advance.

my homemade batte tu holder. Still have to finish it. Got an aluminum one in the making.

Simple test

just swap the old battery back in and see if codes stay.

The cause of the DSC & TPMS lights staying on in my 2002 MCS was a bad steering angle sensor.

Sorry I can't answer your questions. This happened while my car was still under warranty and the dealer took care of it.

I also had those two lights. Did the steering angle sensor cleaning and calibration and that did not fix it.
I also checked the sensors on the wheels and also not the culprit.
I then read somewhere that it might be the RPM cluster. Bought a used one from WMW and that fixed my lights.

MINIAC & Lotter1 was right. I used a foxwell scanner. Scanned the SAS and it was faulty.

cleared the DTC and both lights came off. Let’s see if it comes back.

i suspect the problem happened then the battery went dead as i was jacking the car up and down maybe while turning the ignition on 🤷🏻‍♂️

Serafin: Did just clearing the DTC permanently fix your issue with the TMPS and DSC? Or did you end up replacing the SAS?
