R50/53 Euro Plates?
You can always drill the holes in the plate to correspond with the ones you already have.
Bad enough to see a single hole in a front bumper, but most states require it.. . . .

The license plate holder for a standard American tag that comes on a Cooper (or at least it did on mine) comes off and there is a space for the Euro behind it. The tag that I got came with a mount also so it just screwed right in to the existing holes.
I ordered mine from the same place that 2Minis linked to. Mine looks good (Says: ITSA MINI) Got tired of telling people what kind of car it is. I also ordered the mounting plate that they sell. Using it, there are no holes to drill. Like LMini said, just remove the American plate mount, and put the Euro mount on, snap in the plate and you ready.
Good luck!!
Good luck!!
In August when I was still in the Bay Area there was a guy from MINI2 had a Euro plate done for the front of the car. He has a Cooper and it looked really good. Appearently in California you can have a Euro plate up front as long as the plate reads the same as the state issued plate. He did say that he had to keep the California issued plate for the rear since it is the one with State issued tags.
I don't have a front plate, the dealership was kind enough to forget to install the frame. Now that I live in Colorado I am told they are mandatory here but that there is a movement to stop requiring the front plate. So I am going as long as I can before I have to install it. If they make me I will have a Euro one done since I don't have any holes in the bumper yet.
Good luck and post pictures when you have it done.

gobsmaked, you are really lucky not to have that plate. Just keep the front plate available and toss it on the dashboard if you ever get pulled over.
I notice that Corvettes or other cars with unusual front ends rarely have a plate installed in Colorado and they seem to get away with it.
Maybe since you are in a MINi the officer will be looking at the car more than the plates anyway!
