Someone has done what I've dreamed about since day 1x of having my car.. if I ever end up blowing my engine I DO PLAN ON A K24 SWAP and actually been talking with a few guys I know ( honda heads ) if they'd be willing to help me with the k24 swap.
Soon as i can find someone to help and a few more swaps happen so there's more info and stuff for me to to refer to I wanna sell off my engine AND ALL its mods and I'd easily be able to fund a turbo k24 build...

Why not just buy a civic and be done with it? Just curious... IMO not a MINI if it's not powered by a MINI engine.

 

because it's a civic and has 1/10 the style of a r53 imo..
and lol its NOT a mini or even a bmw engine we have , its a fricken crysler engine with bmw logos n sensors on it..

The engine was a joint development by Daimler and Rover-BMW, and is both quite robust, and pretty easy to work on IME. Cramming a 2.4l under the bonnet of a MINI and I am willing to bet it will be nightmarish to work on.

 

from what I seen it requires some frame notching and stuff but once in front end service mode it looks like the same amount of access is available.. exp if it was an n/a build there would be no turbo or supercharger taking up alot of extra room either.. I'd love LOVE a 350hp n/a built honda engine.. don't get me wrong I LOVE the sound of an sc screaming BUT I've always preferred the linear n/a PowerBand and reliability.

 

A guy I know is almost done with this swap. He had a crv and took the full drivetrain out to put it in the mini. He had to modify the engine bay obviously and get new mounts, then fabricate mounts for radiator, but otherwise it is super clean.
