Frost on the inside?

Today was the first day that I got into my MINI after work and had frost on the inside of the windshield. Hasn't happened before, but I guess it's been humid lately. Luckily the defrost works fast!

Anyone have any handy tips to prevent/deal with this?

Turn on the AC,it dries the air, plus crack open a window a bit.You should run the AC from time to time to keep the seals and things lubed.Won't affect the heat output.

Interesting. This just happened to me a couple days ago. I thought it was just me. It dipped down from a usual -4 degrees Celsius to -27Celsius (-16.6F) overnight. I go to scrape the windows and notice that all windows have frost on the inside. I last drove the car at 5pm the day before. I thought that was odd, 'cause that's never happened to me before with any of the vehicles I owned in the past. I mean, there was an absolute layer completely covering the inside windows. I doubled checked that all windows and sunroof were closed, and they were. Guessing there must be a small vent someplace or broken seal.
Cheers,

Not getting ice here in LA, but my MINI did have a layer of condensation on all the inside windows. Perhaps it has happened with other cars I've owned, but if so, I don' remember. I assumed that the interior warmed up as it sitting in the sun with the windows closed and the sun shade open. Then it cooled off rapidly and viola - condensation. Probably an indication of how sealed the interior really is.

as a side note, I have seen this on past cars too... but I was hoping it was just because they were crappy.

it's been in the teens the past couple days here in SE MI and i've been coming across a good layer in my car the past two nights. i parked the car out of the sun earlier today and didn't have the problem. i think the trick is parking in the shade. it worked today, so go figure. or maybe this is just another one of the MINI's little quirks.
