R50/53 The "Can't Wait for Feburary Club" arrives!
>>Stopped by the dealer today trying to get a glimpse of MINIhune, but she's locked up in a cage in a vacant lot a block away from the dealer. AARRRGGHH!!!
>>
>>BTW, mini-rolls, now I know what you went through with all the waiting, except for the sinking part
Kohu'ulaMINI,
You are pretty funny...... which club are you in anyway........
Glad you are getting your baby. As I said waiting is the hardest thing......just remember...stick to the break end period......BTW I have been Hawaii a few times and unsless you go out and do laps it will take you longer than me to reach the break end period. I am at 1175miles since 02/01. Only 25 miles this weekend.....
Getting close to letting Tigger bounce..........

Now I don't want to be an instigator (!), and I'm extremely proud of how Club Feb has kept up the Can't Wait For Club tradition, but - have you seen what the April Club has concocted? Check This!
So - the "bestest" challenge seems to be well underway!!

haha I cheated though because of my road trip. I actually have about 2700 miles now. And about 400 of those are in one week of driving, the rest were in 4 days.
I have definitely got into the mindset of not going the normal way home though. I just take of on random roads and then wind my way home. Too much fun!

Did we mention we got to motor in a CR/W MC with an MCO family member to the MINI dealer?!?
Kudos to SouthSeaSadie for taking us to the dealer. Let me say, 3 adults with bags of MINI accessories fit comfortably in a MINI
Pics will be posted once I figure it out.
WE LOVE OUR MINI!!!!
Hang Loose!!!!

Only 302 posts to go to hit 25K ... Everyone report in, eh?
JoeGreen just keeps getting better!! 3800 miles right now and the mpg is now averaging 30-32 ... keep in mind almost all my driving is highway, interstate, cruise control w/ manual tran. And I use highest octane Mobil fuel.
Finally saw another MINI today here in town, Spfld IL, the first I've noticed other than mine. I waved out the top; they waved back across a sizable intersection.
Yesterday, on a road trip by myself into the western part of the state (those who live there say they live in Forgottonia), I was on a familiar county road recently upgraded with new asphalt ... flat, smooth, no curves or bumps ... so 110 mph was easy. And, like the rest of you have said who have done this, feels like 60. The MINI didn't lose an ounce of composure. When I braked, it slowed down smoothly and quickly from 110 to 70. It was a BEE-you-TEE-full day!
Just got back from the touchless car wash, spent some time going over every inch to ensure no droplets had dried. Joe looks great!
Wooooo Hooooooooo

CWFFC alum checking in.
I seem to have started a trend at work...
MCS #2 (Silver/Black) just arrived in the parking lot (the owner picked it up Thursady, then wisely took Friday off to motor).
MCS #3 (Liquid Yellow/White) will make its appearance once a colleague returns from a business trip.
We plan a group picture.
I think a lot can be learned about a company from the cars its employees drive - sure, we've got Jaguars, BMWs, Porsches, and even an Aston Martin in the lot (on nice days), but having three MCSs in one place is a nod to a certain hipness I think
.
Happy motoring
-noam (now approaching 1500 miles on my MCS)

Aloha, how is MINIhune? I was hoping for some beach pix with you and your 'ohana. Maybe I'll get back to Hawaii (Hilo) this year but still waiting for the plane fare to fall a bit more. A Hui Ho, LN

Not sure if air fares will fall anytime soon
Well, I'll report in to help us get to the 25K mark. I just returned from a trip to the Dallas, TX area where my brother lives and my new MCS turned what is normally a very dull and boring trip into a great adventure. First of all, I took the longer, more scenic route from here in southeast Missouri. It was the first time I'd done that since I had my "86 Mustang GT convertible. The trip was about 1300 miles total, so I now have about 2200 miles on the car.
I was also able to get with McKinneyMini to do post-break-in oil change while I was there and put Amsoil 0W30 in. I highly recommend it, the engine runs even smoother now. Very sweet!
Still need to make a trip back to the dealer in 2-3 weeks to swap my silver S-lites for the correct white ones. Other than that, no problems!!
I LOVE IT!!
