Black Forest industries shift ****

All, anyone successfully install this shift **** on an r53?

having some issues. Basically I can’t get it to mount low enough for the leather boot.

I’ll post a pic as well, shortly.

Did you contact their support already? That would be my first thought if I had one.

I didnt want to say that, but fortunately you did

I paid a tenner for this one, the shape is way better for shifting than the ball types. Seems to have bumped in price a bit > https://www.ebay.com/itm/324140231738

Here is what it looks like right now. Not a good photo

the boot should be up above the hardware (screws) if you can make that out. But the boot does not have enough slack. Pulls up when shifting into second, fourth, sixth

if you go down on the shaft, with the ****, you hit a narrow part of the shaft where the **** would not tighten down for me...I might have just stopped tightening it down in fear of striping the bolt or breaking the adaptor...hard to put in words

for $155, I imagine you could contact their customer service and get it resolved.

I can't imagine spending $155 on a shift **** though, and I've spent $3000 to have darton install some sleeves and assemble a bottom end for me.
