R50/53 Aftermarket wheel problems
Aftermarket wheel problems
After installing my Enkei PF01 I noticed vibration in the wheel. Drove a little more, and it seemed to progressively get worse. When I returned home to check them, they had become loose.
I've tightened them down more than 15 times now, it's frustrating to say the least
. I've tried everything from a torque wrench, manually by feel, stepping the torque in stages. Not sure what else to do.
Is there something I'm missing here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Running stock wheel bolts, and correct size hub rings.

100% sure, they're clearly marked. Bought the wheels from another MINI owner (minus 1 new) who included them. I've read that the stock wheel bolts aren't compatible, but can't confirm.
I've been searching everywhere for info. Any idea where I can find them?
I would contact Enkei or a dealer like the Tire Rack to see if they can tell you what the correct specs are for your wheels. The stock bolts might have the wrong seat type and/or thread length.
If the factory lugbolts are correct, maybe the set you have is damaged (stretched threads??) or there’s a problem with the hubs.

Are you running any spacers and are they coming loose on all four wheels?
