I wanna do the poor man's brake upgrade but I want to keep my 15in rpf1's ... my question is.. if I take my rims and put them on a r56 front and they clear with no issues , will I then have the exact fitment on my r53 ?? I ask because a few 15s will fit those brakes I've been told and my buddy has a r56 so I could see if my wheels fit it his is an 07 or 08 it's the 1st year turbo.

 

Yes if your wheels fit on the front of an R56 S they will clear the R56 calipers if you put them on an R53 as it will be exactly the same.

Please report back what you discover. I’m also very interested. I have r56 brakes and 17 inch wheels but I don’t have 15s or 16s to test fit.

 

The 16" X-Lite fits with the R56 brakes.

Those above do fit..my friend has them on his car and runs those in the summer but once it's decent outside I'm going to check my fitment of 15in rpf1's

 

Thanks, miniman. I saw on the forum a user named professor who had 15in RFP1 on, but I’m not sure what brakes he has. I’d love the look of bronze RFP1 on and my red r53, but would like to make sure they fit before ordering a set.

 

any updates and pic on this? also what are the width and offset of the 15in rpf1's you are trying to fit?
