Apologies if this has already been answered, but I've been googling and searching here for hours. Just swapped seats into my 2002 Mini Cooper. The plug from the car to old seats has 4 wires, while the plug on the newer seats only has two. I believe this is for the seatbelt pretentioner, but I could be mistaken. Any ideas which wires actually need to be connected, so that the airbag light won’t come on? 2006 seats, currently installed in my 2002 Mini Cooper. This is the plug on the newer seats, to the seatbelt pretentioner, I beleive. There's a shadow in this picture which is somewhat misleading; it only has two wires. This is the old plug from the car. It has 4 wires

@PoonRacing is probably right about switching the pretensioners, and just in case you don't know, the airbag light won't turn off by itself even after a problem is fixed. It must be reset with a diagnostic tool such as a B200.
Are you outside of the US? You said it's a 2006 seat but in the US the stitch pattern in the seat bottom was changed in '05-'06 seats to accommodate a new seat sensor.

I think PoonRacing was correct. I swapped over my old seatbelt pretentioners. They required a bit of scrubbing—which is what I was trying to avoid—but they look alright now. Anyhow, got them all bolted up, wires hooked up, and reconnected the battery. No airbag warning light anymore!
