need mini advice and thoughts

Hello to all,
Am considering a new mcs with the following color and combos. Please advise if you think the interior will be too dark.
Chili red black roof with black stripes
antracite trim and head liner with black leatherette. Am I going over board here?
Help!!!

That is what I got except for the head liner since mine is a 2004 and it was not an option. :(

I ended up nixing the black stripes though cause I wanted to get a different type of stripes. Now that I have had the car for a few months I think I will probably not get stripes at all.

My chili red MCS with a black roof, anthracite trim, anthracite headliner and tartan red cloth with black leather just came in. I can send you a few pics if you'd like but the interior isn't very dark at all. It happens to look really sporty IMHO and it really gives it a badass look which I was looking for

Mike, Please send or post pics. The pics on the mini site are a little sub standard.

I don't have the anthrasite headliner, but have the anthrasite trim and black
leatherette.

It doesn't have that *Bling* factor which is a good thing for me....although
it does look kind if bland when compared to other MINI's with colorful
cloth seats. actually my whole MINI looks kinda borning for some people
cause it doesn't have that real colorful look most people crave.

I have CR/B w. anthracite trim and black leatherette... no anthracite headliner because it wasn't an option. I don't think its dark at all.

I have the anthracite trim and black leather in an Indi Blue MINI and I like the way it looks. Mine is a 2004 and I have the lighter headliner. I saw a new MINI this weekend with the Anthracite dash and the chrome package. That definitely brightens things up if you think the interior is too dark.

Keep in mind that the factory black stripes have a white edge on them. You might want to go with aftermarket stripes instead. I know I wasn't real thrilled to see the bright white outlines next to my pepper white paint, but you might like the extra contrast between the black and the red.

IMHO the anthracite headliner and pillars make for a somewhat "cave like" effect. Definitely darker and smaller feeling in daylight than the standard light grey. There is a reason headliners are traditionally light in color...

I have the same interior as below... and it is not dark at all... though again, the anthracite headliner was not available. W/O a sunroof, it may be kind of dark in there...

Those are both new features in the '05s that your venerable '04 didn't have. The side visor is nice, it helps a good bit.

Here are some pics of the anthracite headlining, dash and black leather seats.

I was told before I picked it up that it would be too dark inside, but it's not and i love it.

Oh my! I love the anthracite headliner and sunvisors! I would have ordered them if they'd been available in '03. Nice specs, DevilMini! You'll love your new baby!

here's a link to EFR's website, it's CR/B with the anthracite headliner (freebie-aug build.) I don't think it's dark at all, it fact the interior gets more ooh ahh commentary than any other part of the car. Jimbo
