Alta PSRS experience

i need opinion whether i should use the Alta PSRS (Lower Control Arm bushing) I read somewhere that it is infact NOISY due to the way it made ( all metal) no rubber. My concern also is the longivity and durability since inside is made up of allen screws that fit in against the control arm.
please advice, i dont track mainly street driving, but maybe someday i will join the club for the SCCA.
Thank You

It's a spherical ball joint so yes the lifespan is limited. It can be extended if you clean and lubricate it on a regular basis.

Spherical joints were never designed for street use, it doesn't matter if they're steel, bronze, or PTFE lined.

Thank you, i guess its going to be FOR SALE soon, ias a second thought i might install the PSRS,
since its going to be a positive camber do i need to replace the inner ball joints with offset too (the joint that attached to the control arm) WayMotors sell them? i had no idea at all all..(lol) I might give it a try since i already bought it, if i dont like i can change later since dropping the sub-frame is not that hard at all just patience..

I have has the system for over 12 yrs now with no issues. I do service/clean them twice a year as I have to put winter/summer tires on in the spring and winter. The only thing you definitely want to make sure you do is to tack weld the sleeve onto the control arm. This eliminates the potential rattle as this sleeve can no longer work loose.

I’m a little confused what’s old and new product, i looked at all the website that sells this PSRS and they all have Polyurethane insert with the hexagone design, the one that i bought doesn’t have that shape but instead an all metal with bunch of allen-screws inside the spherical tube and im guessing that’s where the control arm goes in... kind of clumsy design

and im not sure what’s the reason behind all the sets of allen-screws. Can someone enlighten us please.
Whether this is the new product or old deeign.
Thank You

Just my .02cents, but I would just go with the Powerflex polyurethane bushings. PFF5-101.

Look at all those setscrews I will not want to drive a track day with them. I would ask can anyone come up with a more complicated design? Get the Powerflex and they will never fail.

That is the new design....thus the 2.0 printed on it. The control arm simply inserts into this bushing, either metal or poly. Set screws are just there to hold it so it won't rattle. No issue with running on track with either as neither one will allow the arm to come oout.

Avoid them we have had issues with them non stop. Didn't matter if it was the original or V2 ones. I made a video of the last set that came in I'll have to share if I can find where I saved it.
Go with the powerflex they are superior and never fail or make noise. And have a lifetime warranty. Also cheaper.
