Help Identifying Mystery Part

Help! For several months I've had the front subframe, trans, etc. out of my 2004 Cooper S and now that I'm reassembling the car I've found a part I can't identify. I've been through all the parts diagrams on RealBMW.com but can't find this piece. It's a blue plastic piece, curved a bit. Here's a pic.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Eric

Part of a Makita impact wrench used to disassemble subframe?
Sorry, but no clue whatsoever...

Yea, thats my guess. Its looks like the color of the ABS sensor and plugs but I dont see anything close to that shape.

Thanks guys. I guess the part is from one of my other projects that just happened to get onto the bench with the Mini parts. I'll keep my eye out as I finish the assembly to see if there's anywhere it can fit.

Is that the factory insert for a transmission mount?

I have the same piece after my clutch job. Does anyone have a diagram where said piece goes. I know it came out of the trans mount but can't figure where it goes.

Thanks for finding that part! But, ****, now I have to figure how to get it back in place! Unfortunately, I have everything back together. Might have to leave this part out for now.

Remove the mount and press it in! Spray a little lithium grease or something if the rubber is too deformed from wear/tear. Don't forget that you can also opt for the awesome polyurethane gearbox insert that Way sells! I highly recommend

Removing the mount wasn't an option at this point: everything was back together. I found that I could remove the lower engine brace and with a few air hoses removed lower the trans end enough to expose the bottom of the mount. It was easy to slip the plastic shim back into place.
