Howdy,

My Jet Black MCS was on the Falstaff due into NJ Thursday as well. We should hear from Hampton MINI sometime this week to pick up our new toys! Are you local to them? I'm coming down from NH, since my local dealer couldn't do any better than Fall 2003 delivery.

I wish I was local. I live in southern california, but I am getting the car delivered to dallas,tx because I am visiting family there this time next month. One would ask, why not ship it to ca? A)it'sungodly expensive B)I don't trust having my precious new mini on a truck driving ACROSS america in the winter (too many bad memories from cross country trips in the winter passing one 18 wheeler after another that crashed due to the weather). Let me know when you get called from Hampton Mini, I'll be awaiting anxiously to know that all went well at the vpc. My other MCS I was supposed to get mysteriously disapeared at the vpc in cali for over 2months and no one knows where it is. Go figure. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a problem free delivery of our new mini's. Blake

I'm on the Falstaff too, but so far I haven't seen any updates regarding cargo being offloaded. I'm assuming we're all in VPC now. I called ASK-MINI on Fri, but they said call back Mon since their system was down.

How scary is this wkndracr, we are both awaiting for the exact same car. Mine is an IB/W MCS with all three packages and black panther leather. Just for piece of mind, let me know if your production number is 3585582. Just incase I need to get on the phone and yell at some people. Can't wait, it's going to be a sweet car. Have you decidecd on any accessories? I've been going back and forth between weather to stripe it or not. Hope all is well, cross your fingers for this week.

No, I do have a different prod#, so we're good to go. I opted for the bonnet stripes as well. I think it looks real nice w/IB. Once I get it, I'll decide what I want to add to it. First is a major stereo upgrade, then some race tires for autocrossing!

Mine too, it should have arrived on the 14th but haven't heard any news from the good folks at Mini of the Hamptons.

I commute near the south shore of LI and saw a massive container ship on the horizon thursday morning, I can't be sure it was the Flafstaff, but deep down we know it was...

Talk about a load off my mind wkndracr. This whole ordeal of getting a mini has been such a strange experience that I was hoping this was not going to be another twist in the road. I agree with you on the bonnet stripes. I am going to have hamptons include some for me, but I am going to wait to see what it is like with out it. As for other mods, I am going to first tend to my beloved valentine 1, man I dont know where I would be without her (actually I know damn well where I would be, in jail!) I am getting a remote display custom fabbed into the rear view mirror (i'll post some pics, it's going to be sick!) and then I am also getting a faux 3rd brake light in the read made with my valentine inside of it with a piece of smoked glass in front and a piece of red plastic in the rear. I've seen it on a few m3's and it is the slickest thing this side of the mississippi. It will be undetectable (mmmmmm, v1, sooooo good!) After that's done I am going to tint it with formula one. After that I am going to have to restrain myself until the s works kit gets released. I used to have a heavily modded audi and it was such a pain dealing with warrenty work that I swore I wouldn't do that to myself again. Look forward to seeing any more posts about our falstaff. Until then
