my hopes are way too high. i was hoping to get my car today, but it isn't even at the dealer yet. so it looks like i'm early next week. hopefully it will be delivered today, and they can prep it monday and i can motor tuesday. my saturday is officially blown.

I got the call at 3:00
Got to the dealers at 4:15 (50 mile drive - driven by a friend)
Arrived home (After shopping a little) at 7:00

The VR with White/White Red interior and Anthracite finsih - it's beautiful!!

I made the NOVEMBER club after all - and I beat the 1% tax hike that kicks in on MONDAY.

My Dealer- Jim Barth, Dreyer Reinbold, did a great job.

5.4 on the loan ... not bad!!

I feel your pain cooper44. I too thought I would be motoring this afternoon. Now it looks like it will (hopefully) be Monday night. A major bummer, since my family is in town this weekend, and they were all excited to see my new car. Everyone will have to wait until Christmas now.

I love MADGE (my mini) but its hard to drive manual after driving automatic for 10 years! I have stalled so much my head hurts already. But I guess the more I practive the better. Anyway enjoy the mini. So far I think its a great car!!!

If I recall your MINI was destined for Chicago? I was contacted 6:00pm Saturday evening by Bill Jacobs MINI.....My MINI is HERE and ready to pick up. Yours should be also. :smile: :smile: :smile: :smile:

 

Bill Jacobs called me too on Sat. and said after the unloading and processing it will be ready to pick up. The processing happens on Monday, so I was hoping for Tuesday night, but my sales person doesn't work on Tuesday. Looking like Wednesday morning. No, I WILL be picking up my car on Wed if not before. She's in IL and I can't even drive her. In the cold at the dealer, she should be in my garage, sheltered!

 

Dealer called about ten minutes ago.

Inventory says my baby is there, but they don't recall seeing her on the lot, so they are checking again.

I am so ready to motor it is not funny.

I'll go for her by Wednesday, and then it's a question of catch me if you can.

So far, so good (great) with mine. A little engine hesitation at times when I stop and reverse. Will take care of this at the dealer soon. Full report after a couple of weeks.

WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Car arrived to the dealer on Saturday, it's getting prepped today/tomorrow. 9 AM Wednesday morning I'll be there with my checks in my hands! Hopefully I can remember to bring my camera so I can post some photos on Friday or Saturday, what ever day I stop motoring!

Lolo, I'm with you! Not only is it catch me if you can, find me if you can since I'm going to turn off my cell phone so I'm not bothered!

I'm picking up my MCS tonight! There's snow in Chicago today, but my wife is leaving town tomorrow, and we want to pick up our MINI together.

Minifinn: i'm sure i will be there at 10 still with paper work, so hopefully we can get a joint picture to post here.

Soopa: how was the drive in the snow? it's bright and sunny here in Park Forest today and they aren't predicting any more snow, so my drive tomorrow should be fun! where are the photos?

 

Congratulations to everyone! I have had mini for a week now, thanks to AIDA, and 300 miles later I love her lots. I actually learned to drive manual and am very glad to say that I am finally not stalling. It is a great car especially now that I know how to drive her I can sit back relax and enjoy the total experience.

We are so sad here at Bill Jacobs. We had Cooper44 and Minifinn here at the same time picking up their cars. We didn't even know to introduce you all to eachother.
