What does it say your estimated delivery date is on your MINI OWNER'S LOUNGE page? It's under the "DETAILS" section.

 

Estimated Delivery Date was 11-23-02, today! Spoke with dealer he said its going to be another three weeks. BLAH!
IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN LET ME KNOW. Its not a big deal actually, I didnt expect it to be here so soon but Im just curious if anyone else heard from their dealers.

Well I thought this was just the way it was with delivery and all, maybe he does suck. Ive heard good things about Mini Prestige here in NJ so I hope youre wrong, but you never know.

Where do you live? You must live in NY if they gave you an 11/23 date. My date is 11/27 and I live in Indiana. Iwas REALLY hoping to have it just after Thanksgiving, but hearing your story makes me think twice, three times even.

 

So it says the Aida has sailed from NY. No updated on my car, but it must have been unloaded and not processed. Our cars are getting closer!

 

I'm waiting too. Last I checked using the booking number (instead of my VIN), no MINIs are listed as unloaded from the AIDA. Since it's on the way to Baltimore, I guess they're just not updating the info on the weekend.

 

Well I would call the dealer and makes sure cause obviously the estimated delivery date is WAY off! My delivery date said 11-23-02 I was very ready to be driving mini this weekend until my dealer called and said it would be another three weeks. But regardless I know the wait is worth it.

I saw the same thing. However, when you click on the voyage link you will find that all the destinations are now in red, and at the bottom it says "Vessel has sailed".

I don't know what that means exactly. I am going to speculate that it means the ship has completed its scheduled voyage.

3 weeks huh...

I've waited 12 months for Christmas what's 3 more weeks.

Hi AIDA shipmates! Id like to know what you have heard about your deliveries. Has anyone called the 866 ask mini number? Im curious if anyone has any update regarding deliveries. Let me know. Thanks.

 

i just checked the shipping info and it's listed as "discharged" on the 22nd, and then "delivered from" on the 25th. i called ask mini and they said it was still sitting at the dock, but according to the shipping info it isn't there. hopefully it's on it's way to the processing center like it says and ask mini just isn't updated yet. i was hoping to pick it up this saturday, but it's looking like next week. but i'm still hoping!

I see mine was "delivered from" this morning (the 25th) too. I think you're probably right about not getting our MINIs in Chicago this weekend, cooper44, but I'm still hoping!

thanks for your help. Im actually going to just meditate for the next two to three weeks and not think so much about mini until im I find myself at the dealer signing. Until then I will have to be very patient. Thanks again. I think that unless you really want this car, mini has a problem selling it because of the wait. What I mean is that the wait is so long that it WILL deter people from getting a mini. I wanted it so bad that I told myself I would wait, but im not quite sure if many other people are willing to wait so long for this car.

SoopaCoopa, if we're lucky they'll blow through the processing center and they can get it on a truck asap. it can't be more than a 2 day drive from there. i realize truckers can only drive a certain amount of hours at a time, but NY isn't that far away. it's so close!

I just talked to my dealer (Morristown MINI) here in New Jersey and she told me that it should be coming to the dealership by early next week. Once it's at the dealership I can have it that night. This sounds about right to me in terms of time it takes to move through the distribution center. After all it's a 3 day week and you can't expect to much to be done in 3 days. Atleast this sounds alot better then 3 weeks!
I actually have enjoyed the having to wait, makes me feel more connected to the car. I think that's why the tracking site likens the creation of the car to giving birth.

Latest word from my dealer in Chicago is expect it around the 7th of December but it could be sooner. Oh the agony of waiting....waiting....waiting....waiting.... waiting...waiting...waiting...waiting...give me somethin' for the pain.

My dealer told me today that she did not see any record that my baby is at the VPC.
Then again she probably still thinks it's on Aida.

Forget the dealer, Call 866-ask-MINI. I called today, and the helpful chap on the other end told me that my MINI should be processed at the distribution center, and be on a truck tomorrow afternoon. He even suggested that it could arrive at Patrick MINI in Chicago by Friday 11/29!

i just got off the phone with ask mini, they said my car was being processed, and i should have it the day after Thanksgiving (11/29). if that is correct, minifinn, i'd expect your mini a bit sooner. i can't believe the wait is amost over.

IM CALLING THAT # TOMORROW MORNING....

 

I called 3 times today, and each time I got more info, so call morning, noon, and late afternoon.

I'm hoping for Friday, but to be honest, at this point I'll settle for early next week. It's been so long. I sold my last car in August so I've been "borrowing" my wife's car for too long, and I'm tired of it. I NEED my MINI. Read, vacuum, wash the hard wood floors, work on some drum rudaments, do laundry, I can't do any more to keep my mind off of it. I'm a sick individual!
