Off The Boat and On The Road

Aida missed all the hurricanes and my Laser Blue/Black MCS arrived in my driveway last Tuesday. I have been too busy playing to post. Jarid at Rasmussen in Portland did a nice job with the delivery. The first run was up the Columbia Gorge (HWY 12, of course, it has the twisty bits). I now understand what all that talk about grinning is about. Tire, clutch and brakes past their break-in and am just waiting until I can punch this above 4500 RPMs. So far, the torque steer hasn't thrown me out of the passenger window.

It was well worth the wait. JHB

Yay! Will keep an eye peeled for ya on the west side and environs. Our new Clubman is still on the boat. How long did it take to get from VDC to Rasmussen?

I agree, that is the most painful part!!! And then having the dealership not go through your auto broker at the last minute is also very painful, but that's another story!

congrats on your new mini!

Barley-I also have a mini from Jarid at Rasmussen. My was off the VDC the 29th of July( I think) and delivered to me August 14th. I think mine was one of the last out of the VDC and on the trucks.

Jarid-I have figured out just about everything in the mini except how to make the doors lock automatically when I start to drive. Can I stop by and get help one day from you?

Thanks Susan Shelby
