Header to exahust tips.....$340 on ebay?

I'm sure this is a pretty junky and poor quality setup....but wow!....they are sure getting cheap now! Complete from header to exhaust tips, $340 with free shipping! I don't know how you could even make that system for that cheap!

Anyone else seen this? Anyone brave enough to try it?

that's preety crazy. but since theres no research to tack onto the price, I guess they can keep that price super low. there also could be a low price for stainless right now as well

It is a tantalizing price. If price is the only consideration, then go for it. If quality, longevity, fitment, passing emissions, performance and sound are a consideration, I'd look elsewhere.

Aside from the header, that is the exact p.o.s. cat back that I just removed from my R53.

Fit was terrible - had to be cut and welded. In the end tips never matched up well.
Sound was o.k. but drone was pretty bad at 60mph - 70mph in 6th gear.

imo spend the extra money for quality. Instead of wasting it like I did.
I paid $218 for the exhaust. $150 to install and $70 to re-install the stock system and about $70 for new hangars. So, about $430 of that was a waste. The new hangars were needed either way.

I'm planning to get an Nivida or Milltek done at Helix this spring along with a tune if and/or when they have their tune event.

I've seen those for a couple of months now on Ebay. Been tempted to purchase the header, as I like the look of it, the diameter of the primary runners, the dimensions of the flange D-shaped port opening, the size of the flex joint and the collector looks decent from the photo's. Should work well with the head I'm porting. Been reluctant since I don't see an easy way to splice in the OEM cat due to the location of the flex joint. They make one for the R50 with a higher up flex joint that would probably work for what I'm looking for though. Always a crap shoot on Ebay with pretty pictures. I've been waiting to see when the OBX 4-2-1 header will come back into stock but running out of patience.

Pipes are pipes it will last as much as any of the over priced once available. The only problem you may run into would be fitment and no support. This car has megan headers which i found oit is just a no name header that megan and other companies just slap there names on them. Kind of like coilovers. Bc/megan/D2/Ksports ect all come from the same factory just different colors and badges.

Specially if you can do the work yourself.

Pipes are not pipes. There's plenty of different grades of steel as well as thicknesses, and the quality of the welds, etc....... granted some brands are overpriced for what you get yes, but to basically say they are all the same is completely wrong.

I agree. And I can guarantee that the cheap ebay exhaust are not going to last as long as something like a Borla, Milltech, or Magnaflow. All metal and coatings are not created equal.
