Old school deep dish wheels in a new school 17" version?

Getting ready to buy some new wheels for the Mini and I would love to put something older school on there. Only, in a more modern Mini size like say a 17". I love these old deep dish 8 spoke style and I was wondering if any of you have ever found some similar?

Not 17's but the Borbet 16x9 type "A" looks great they have a 3 1/2 " lip yes their old school.

Or that pic you posted with those wheels you can get in 17" c.b. 56.1 looks great they are Rota RB I believe.

you can get borbet type a in 17 as well. i would stay away from rota, they are poor quality replicas. better off with stock s wheels and some spacers imo.

Thanks for all the input! I am pretty psyched to get this ride back to what it was, yet making a few changes, like these wheels, from what I did with my 06. Any further input would be appreciated.

I have a set of Rota RBs on my '04 m/c/s and love them, but as far as I'm aware, they do not come in the "deep dish" configuration that the OP desires...

Are you wanting a deep dish 8 spoke wheel exactly or are you wanting a deep dish wheel and not too worried on the spoke? Pretty dip dish look in this NAM thread HERE.

BBS makes a good dish option:

So far I am leaning towards the rota rbs. I had a set of Rota Attacks on an 03 WRX and they held up real well for me.

Biggest issue for me right now is am I going to go black out stealth like I did with my 06 or perhaps do a hyper black scheme or even just get some silvers that might match up to the Pure Silver paint job...

Any opinions?

Excuse the fact that the car is filthy, due to winter driving, but here are my Rota RBs in 16" x 7", Royal Gun Metal w/machined silver lip (4X100/e40/56.1).

NICE! Yep, that settles it... well almost. Now I have to decide between the silver and the hyper black. It would be pretty wild to go with hyperblack and then do up the striping in a hyper black vinyl, if its out there.

On a pure silver car, I think the Hyper Black is the way to go...

There are a few photos with that combo at THIS thread...
