Thinking about Panasport wheels...

I found some at http://www.7ent.com/newmini/detail.cfm?pageid=1656

I'd like to sell my 17 inch R90s, which now have brand new Yokohama AVS ES100s on them. Anyone know what the R90s are worth, and how Panasport wheels are?
Thanks.
Mike

Not particularly sure what the R90's would be worth, but I'd love to have 'em.

Mossmini has a sale now and carries Panasport 16x7 wheels normally for $280 each.

JerseyGirl has Panasports and they look great- I think she got them discounted as well. Excellent classic look to them.

R90s vary in price depending on their condition. New ES100 in stock 205/45-17 size on great non-scratched and clean R90s might sell for about $1100-$1300.

R90s!

New they are around $2500 with tires. I have brand new Yokohama AVS ES100 tires on them. The wheels are in very good condition. How about $1000 plus shipping?

Email me, z3bum@yahoo.com

I have the Panasports. They look and ride great. Sorry, no pics, but you can search for pics of JerseyGirls' MCS with them on. About a 9lb per wheel weight savings, and it gives the MINI a nice classic look. I got'em for about $240 per wheel through Alex at TireRack (via special order, they do not stock them).

Try the link...$859/set 16x7.

I think these look soooooo good on MINIs, I'd even contemplate 15"ers.

Wow, that's pretty steep. I don't know where you're located but I got mine for under $1700 (wheels, tires, mounted/balanced, and chrome lugs). If you're near Reading, PA I can recommend a good shop for you.

Here's a pic of them on my car...

Thanks martyR,
Thats a really good price on 16x7. plus-

15x7 $194.95 each or $759.00 for a set of 4!
How much do the 15x7" rims weigh?
One could put nice 225/45-15 tires on those 15" rims and use them on an MCS for street or for autocross.

That's what I've been contemplating. BUT I gotta admit, those Kosei K1 TS's are so light (10.6lbs) and $149 per...does anyone else hear the angel voices?

MAN I need to win the lotto.

Minihune, what wheels/tires are you running for auto-x? Holeys?

Get real - real MINILITES !

The Minilite wheel has a long history with the Mini, and are still being made in England. See : http://www.minilitewheels.com

I got a set of EV2000 wheels in 17x7, in Silver. You can also get Black or White or Anthracite color wheels, or Gold....plus, they can do a polished edge that will look like chrome - great with certain colors!

They are not cheap @ $325 per corner. Nor are they specially light weight, at 21 lbs. But.....wait.......the look is dynamite! The spokes actually act very well at brake cooling !

Best of all, for me, they fit over my Brembo GT brakes with no spacers!!!!!
If you like the idea of some heritage, as I do, having owned 17 classic minis, and want the real thing......wow!......no other choice for me! Great looks, strong as steel, these are the best !

15x7.

Unfortunately the OS is 38mm, not ideal, but then again because they're smaller overall if you go with a 205/50 or 225/45, rubbing MIGHT be less of an issue. Alex @ Tirerack told me that 205/50 should work, even with the H&R springs that I run (camber corrected w/RDR lower arms to -1.5 deg).

Kosei also makes the TS in 17x7 and they're something like 14lbs per.

I'm in for a set late this summer or during the off-season...hopefully.

MINILites!

Wow, those MINILites look cool. I just sent an email off to the company. 16x7 MINILites in Anthracite with polished rims would look really neat on my little yellow MINI Cooper!

Now about my R90s, $1000 plus shipping? Any takers? (They include shiny new Yokohama ES100 sneaks...)

Just make sure that the Panasports being offered at the Dave Turner site are the STREET versions, not the RACING version also made by Panasport. As far as I know, the only street-legal size Panasport makes in the wheel for the MINIS is 16x7. If you go to the Panasport site, you'll see what I mean.

Panasports

Can not go wrong with Panasports. I have them on my TR6. Very popular with MG and Triumph owners. Have the old look with modern well made wheels.

Are in South Alexandria, in Virginia. If you live somewhere nearby (less than 200 miles) I might be inclined to deliver them...

ooops

I'm just a little far from VA...about 3000 miles!

Thanks for responding. You'll sell them quickly...unless you want to ship them to san francisco.

MINILITE wheels are cool....... many color and stuff combos available, and they do look great on the new MINI !

Plus, the heritage thing of that brand wheel on the classic mini is really cool, too!

shipping the R90s...

Hello,
Adam likes the wheels too. I'd ship to either place, though it will probably be around $100 for the wheels and maybe $100 for boxes and packing material.

There is a small chance I can get boxes for free from some friends at Racing Dynamics. I'll have to check.

I've got some 17" genuine Minilites on order from Mainstreet Motorsports in Connecticut. They should be here from the UK shortly. When they are on the car, I'll post some photos. I too wanted the classic look but, I wanted to stay with the 17"s. Mine are all silver to complement my all pepper white '04 MCS. Not cheap at $300 a wheel.

Cheers,
