Check the wiring going to the compressor and make sure they didn't pinch the wire while doing the trans. I've seen that happen before, also make sure the radiator fan is plugged in.
I'll check this afternoon! Is there an exploded drawing that shows the location of the plugs? I can't seem to find one. I'm assuming that I need to R & R the bumper assy to see?
It would be easier, but you can see/touch the electrical connector on the compressor once you have removed the plastic splash shield and lifted the front up somehow. That wire is in the heavy loom with the alternator cable - runs just behind the fan.
Thanks for the tips. It was working until yesterday morning, it stopped mid-drive.
I had this same issue... Driving along and chilling from the AC until it got slightly warmer and then I had a heater in the middle of July. Get a voltmeter and check the ohms at the relay... If the number is off the charts (mine was 62k, others were around 50k) then your AC clutch coil is burnt up and needs replaced. Mechanic shops and the dealership will tell you that you can't just replace the coil... This is BS and the one on eBay has done well since I did this repair myself about a month ago.
Here is the thread and how-to... not as daunting as the how-to reads. Just make sure you have access to pneumatic tools before beginning. This is a common fault with the Gen 1's.
Solid seller too - he warrantied my first one because it failed after a few months. The second one he sent me was actually a new design. Wiring seems more robust.
