Hyper Blue Color

I am about to pull the trigger on a Mini S, but am not sure about the color. It is an 05 that is sailed from port. Can anyone point me to a picture of Hyper Blue. The one on the MiniUSA site doesn't look like what I thought. It seems a little light. In the photo gallery under "Our Cars", the exterior shots shows a car that looks blue, but could be Purple Haze.

I do have another option for the Purple Haze too.

It is a beautiful color! Kinda wish we'd gone for it by my son wanted black/white roof so that's what we're getting.

The great thing is you are gonna love it no matter what the color is. And as my better half says - if you like another color we'll just get that the next time!!!

Hyper Blue, I believe, is going to be very popular. Not as dark as Indi Blue, it screams FUN! I once had an Astro van about the same color and loved it.

Dogspeed.

CSW, those look like Indi blue to me, not Hyper Blue or Purple Haze.

Here's a link to Indi next to Purple Haze (look at the last three photos):
purple haze/indi blue

and Hyper Blue:
hyper blue

all photos care of motoringfile.com

Scoop -

I found the pics on the July 2004 Build thread. Todd05HBS took delivery 8/3 so I'm thinking it's gotta by HB. Posted colors never seem to show the subtleties.

Scroll til you find it https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...&page=13&pp=25

Nice flag on the sunroof too!

CSW, sorry to doubt you. You're right. It looks darker than other pics of HB that I've seen.

The press photos of HB (those at the Motoring File gallery) are deceptively light. The pictures you see are more accurately the color of HB.

Hyper Blue

I've been planning on buying an Indi Blue Cooper S for two years now. This past Saturday, the time came to place my order. After a 3+ hour drive I sat down with the MINI salesman who's card has been in my wallet these past two years to work out the details. That's when I found out that Indi Blue would no longer be available. I was ticked, we're talking smoke coming out of the ears tick off here. He then said that there would be a blue color available, so I asked to see a swatch. He did better than that, he presented me with a 2005 Cooper S in Hyper Blue with body color dash and door panels. My wife and I took it for a ride, the 5 or 7 extra horses were nice too, and we promptly placed our order; agreeing that we both like the new color a little better than the old Indi Blue. It should arrive sometime in October .

But late Sunday night/early Monday morning I couldn't sleep, so I checked out miniusa.com and the new colors seemed to be posted. I nearly fipped my lid. What was listed as Hyper Blue looked closer to Electric Blue than the car I test drove and the color listed as Purple Haze looked more like the Hyper Blue I'd seen. After a frantic e-mail and phone call, my friendly MINI Dealer assured me that the colors on the website were seriously wrong and that my car would match the pepsi can-like blue that I saw on the lot. But I still had some doubts.

Thanks for posting the pics CSW! That put my mind at ease. Is that a US Military Enlisted sticker on your wind shield?
